  1. Thanks for posing your application. If you post news related to torrents rather than general discussions, it will be much easier for us to get you promoted to the News-Poster rank. Just make sure you don't post duplicate content. Kind Regards, -Jordan

    Apply for a News-Poster

    Places: 3

    Applicants: 0

News-Poster What is a News-Poster? Members of the community that have shown a willingness to contribute ample and quality content that are given a unique distinction that allows them to skip past submission queues and get their content to the community as quickly as possible. Do News-Posters scan content and approve them? No. News-Posters are responsible for their content and their content alone. A News-Poster is not a Moderator in any capacity. So, if I post a bunch of files I will become an News-Poster? No. News-posters must apply and undergo a rigorous evaluation period from Staff. Posting a bunch of spam you found on some third-party site will not earn you the respect a News-Poster commands. Quality submissions that are popular with the community, as well as premium content not found anywhere else, will assist you in your application for news-poster. Are there any perks to the job? Yes. Aside from being able to circumvent the submission queue, News-Posters will have full VIP access. They are granted access to the entire VIP database, donator content, and are also able to access the InviteHawk Team forums. What are the expectations? Aside from meeting discretionary criteria, we only ask that you make a reasonable effort to contribute content on a regular basis. If you stop posting content for weeks, you will be demoted back to your former member group. We won't require you to fill a quota in terms of content value or content amount, but if we find that you're failing to meet reasonable standards, you will be dismissed from the team. What is this criteria you speak of? It's completely discretionary. Only Staff are privy to what it is. What happens if a file of mine is deleted for having impermissible, malicious, or otherwise questionable content? As a News-Poster, you will be held to a far higher standard. You must be absolutely certain that any content you post is clean and permissible on this site. If you include personal copyrights to credit yourself or if you upload "spam" content from third-party sites, you will lose your access. Prerequisites Must be at least 18 years of age Must have 100 non-spam posts Must have 20 Rep points Account must be at least 7 days or older Must have good English and grammatical skills Must have posted at least several pieces of quality and premium content Additional Notes: Please do not apply if you are affiliated with any other site similar to InviteHawk. This application process can be adjusted at any time, at Administration's discretion. It is your responsibility to ensure you're updated with the information provided.

    Apply for a Support Team

    Places: 2

    Applicants: 1

Support Team What does the Support Team do? Members of the Support Team will be tasked with handling any and all support, feedback and suggestion requests submitted, and will have the ability to edit, hide, move, lock, split, merge, and set the best answer for any support topic located in .::IH::. Helpdesk, Feedback and support area and should able to resolve disputes in Chopping Block area. Why do we need a Support Team when Staff does all of that already? We don't. However, we have plenty of members throughout InviteHawk with exceptional skills across a myriad of torrents, seedboxes, etc. These users exemplify the type of dedication and passion that any webmaster should aspire to replicate. We feel that these members should be recognized and given additional access to assist them in their endeavors in fulfilling support requests. Are there any perks to the job? No, and you shouldn't expect any. The position is completely volunteer. You will gain access to our donator area as well as the InviteHawk Team forum where you'll be able to interact with Staff and other members of the Support Team. You'll also have a shiny new Support Team title and username color affixed to your profile. What are the expectations? Aside from meeting discretionary criteria, we only ask that you devote a respectable amount of time to our Support areas. We won't require you to fill a quota or log a specific amount of hours, but if we find that you're failing to meet reasonable standards, you will be dismissed from the team. Prerequisites Must be at least 16 years of age Account must be at least 7 days or older Must be able to read and write in English Must have have a basic understanding of moderation and the tasks associated with it Must have a Discord account (and have joined the InviteHawk Discord Server) to provide support in our #support channel and for off-site Staff communication [Microphone preferred, but not needed] Additional Notes: Out of our available positions to apply for, our prerequisites are the most lax for the Support Team. We fully recognize that even the new guy may have considerable experience. This is not to suggest that we won't monitor our Support Team's answers to ensure our users are being provided with safe and accurate responses. This application process can be adjusted at any time, at Administration's discretion. It is your responsibility to ensure you're updated with the information provided.

    Apply for a Junior Moderator

    Places: 2

    Applicants: 1

Junior Moderator InviteHawk is seeking knowledgeable, enthusiastic and impartial members who are interested in assisting with our everlasting battle against "spammers", "rule breakers", and general "bad guys"! Not long ago, we launched our Junior Moderator program that allows us to recruit and evaluate potential full-time Moderators. If you believe you're up for the task, we'd love to hear from you. What does a Junior Moderator do? Junior Mods will be tasked with handling daily duties, such as.. Downloading, scanning, and approving (or deleting) submitted resources Moving Answered support topics to appropriate forum Marking support topics as resolved and moving them Locking, moving, and editing various topics Flagging spam bots as spam accounts Issuing appropriate warnings when necessary Reviewing and handling of reports Interacting with the community What can't a Junior Moderator do? Junior Mods, while granted access to a wide variety of tools and permissions, do have a few limitations, such as.. Inability to soft or hard delete topics / posts Inability to hide / unhide topics Inability to pin / unpin topics Inability to view IP Addresses Wait, why do we need "Junior" Moderators when the rest of Staff does all of that already? The Junior Mod program offers us the ability to evaluate potential full-time Moderators with limited access. Everything a Junior Mod does is reversible, therefore no harm can be done by recruiting potentially disastrous applicants (which simply doesn't happen). In the event a Junior Mod impresses us, we will promote them to a full-time position as a Moderator. Should the Junior Mod fail to impress us, we simply move them back to their original usergroup. Are there any perks to the job? No, and you shouldn't expect any. The position is completely volunteer. You will gain unfettered access to nearly all areas of the forum (including our donator area). You'll also have a shiny new Junior Moderator title and username color affixed to your profile. What are the expectations? Aside from meeting discretionary criteria, we only ask that you devote a respectable amount of time to fulfilling your role. We won't require you to fill a quota or log a specific amount of hours, but if we find that you're failing to meet reasonable standards, you will be dismissed from the team. Also, while a basic understanding of moderation tools is expected, we are fully committed to educating and mentoring you throughout your time as a Junior Moderator. What is this criteria you speak of? It's completely discretionary. Only Staff are privy to what it is. How long will I be a Junior Moderator? This will vary by user. We've had Junior Moderators who had immediate impact that couldn't be ignored and earned their promotion within a week. We've also had a few who spent several weeks at the Junior Mod position, only to be dismissed or eventually acclimate and earn the promotion to Moderator. Please be aware that performing hundreds of tasks in a week won't guarantee a promotion. We are seeking a variety of characteristics and if you do not possess them, you will not be promoted. Also note that promotions can sometimes be affected by need (or lack thereof) at the Moderator position. Prerequisites Must have at least 50 posts Must be 16 years of age or older Must be able to read and write in English Must have have a basic understanding of moderation and the tasks associated with it Must have a Discord account (and have joined the InviteHawk Discord Server) for off-site Staff communication [Microphone preferred, but not needed] Must not have held a Junior Moderator position within the last year Additional Notes: Please do not apply if you are affiliated with any other site similar to InviteHawk. This application process can be adjusted at any time, at Administration's discretion. It is your responsibility to ensure you're updated with the information provided.
  5. You can change the order by clicking SORT BY as shown in the screenshot below:
  6. Its our development board. We are testing out new things before launching to the live site. Just ignore messages/notifications from that URL.
  7. Hi All, First off apologies for the issues over the past few days. There was a failed upgrade of the site (not by myself) and we have been recovering from that issue. It looks like we are good to go. There was a big code uplift from v4.2 to v4.3 and a huge change in the code for the theme too. This caused a few things not to play nice. Looks like we are ahead of those issues now. The theme needs a little bit of work (color wise), but I will fine tune that over the next few days. As always please post here if you are seeing any issues. Some highlights in Invision Community 4.3 include: Improved Search We now support Elastic-search for scalable and accurate searching that MySQL alone cannot provided. There are also enhancements to the overall search interfaces based on your feedback. Emoji Express yourself with native emoji support in all editors. You can also keep your custom emoticons as you have now. Member Management The AdminCP interface to manage your members is all new allowing you easier control and management of your membership. Automatic Community Moderation You as the administrator set up rules to define how many unique member reports a piece of content needs to receive before it's automatically hidden from view and moderators notified. Clubs The new Clubs feature has been a huge hit with Invision Community users and we are expanding it to include invite-only options, notifications, exposure on the main community pages, paid memberships, and more. Custom Email Footers Your community generates a lot of email and you can now include dynamic content in the footer to help drive engagement and content discovery. New Gallery Interface We have reworked our Gallery system with a simplified upload process and more streamlined image viewing. The full list follows. Enjoy! Cheers Kind Regards, -Jordan
  8. Profile cover photo is a VIP feature and only available to VIPs and Donors.
  9. Welcome to IH. With our new system, no one can see your email address. Its visible to staff only. But its better to change.
  10. Hi Guys, Today InviteHawk is one of the best invite forum around ! That's all because of the great members and staff of this great community. Their hard work and dedication make InviteHawk what it is now. Thanks a lot everyone for your hard work to make IH better than others. Here I will keep an update of the MOTM of this year, so people don't forget who worked hard for InviteHawk. Maybe after the month goes we have another MOTM, but we never forget what you have done for us in past. January 2018 - ALAN30 February 2018 - none March 2018 - TmBax April 2018 - uncharted May 2018 - HiroJun June 2018 - July 2018 - August 2018 -
  11. Which private tracker you're looking for?
  12. Voting is Now available !! To vote visit this link and suggest your favorite member by typing his/her username: http://www.invitehawk.com/motm/
  13. We've just added the Member of the Month app and are ready to begin putting it to use. Right now HARDY is selected as motm, until voting ended for the next member. There are some rules and changes to be aware of, so read carefully! How does it work? Throughout the month, users will cast their vote for InviteHawk's newest MOTM. At the end of the month, Ethan or I will review the voting results and select the newest MOTM based on those results. For example: the community will vote throughout the month of Sep and at the end of the month, a MOTM will be selected. That MOTM will be honored throughout the month of Oct. It works retroactively. Who can vote? Everyone except for Guests and Inactive Members. Who can be nominated? Everyone but Guests, Inactive Members, Newbies, and Retired Staff. You cannot vote for yourself either. Where can I view the MOTM? We'll have a widget displayed on the front page, positioned just below our Posts feed. There is also an Archive button displayed on that widget that will redirect you to invitehawk.com/motm. Are there any rules to this thing? Do not create topics, status updates, or send PMs asking to be voted for (this includes Discord). There is no campaigning. Do not attempt to bribe other users for votes or offer your vote in exchange for some sort of compensation. Don't troll and vote for members who are banned, obnoxious, or otherwise undeserving. Be humble. When can I cast my first vote? Voting will be available starting Sep 12th, 2017.
  14. Want to help create something special for InviteHawk and earn a reward for doing so? With our recent addition of the Trophies and Medals app, we're in need of some ideas for just what those trophies and medals should be and we'll need a collection of icons to use with those ideas. We're giving you, the community, an opportunity to present us with a list of trophies and medals, along with the icons, and the winning selection will be granted a free upgrade to our +Blizzard tier. As an added bonus, you'll be allowed to create your very own medal that will be unique to your profile only. Couple of things to note: Trophies are automatically awarded based upon certain criteria, such as content count, files submitted, days registered, etc. See this link for what is currently supported. Medals are manually awarded by Staff and should include certain themes or fun achievements. While we want the icons to be unique, we'd also prefer that they remain somewhat professional. We don't want neon banners or an animated batman. Something lively, cartoon-y perhaps (see the image below for an example of a previous award). Competition Rules: All content must be Safe For Work. Don't be stupid. Icons need to be a maximum of 48x48 and have the ability to be resized to something a bit smaller if necessary (as we may include these in the author pane in topics). To enter the contest, you need to submit your ideas along with a sample image in a response to this thread. We may contact you to review the rest of the icons. Contest has a tentative deadline of two weeks (Tuesday, September 12th).
