using the RC and to be honest i see very little difference from vista ultimate, definately no optimzations on my PC anyhow.

PS: Btw what is that Google Bot thinbg about, posts being made now ?

i have win7 since it first became available for free download, it was at the begining of the year :P

I would say that Vista is beta of Win7. Its very fast operating system with good security. It has all that nice and shiny windows with a lot of useful tricks.

I think it is the first windows os that is really user friendly, I recommend it to everyone. Luckily for me I am a member of MSDN Academic Alliance and i can get all microsoft software for free :D

XP is the boss. But Windows 7 is very tempting. I don't know how it performs on a modest hardware.

I'm using an edition of Windows XP. I'm not going to use Windows 7 RC until I wait a bit more, see if there are any huge bugs to be discovered. Probably will get Windows 7 sometime 2010.

I''m using Windows 7 for about 2/3 months now and I'm happy about it. First I hade some problems with it (mostly with the authorisation) but when it worked it worked good for me. You'll just have to get used to some extra features but you'll pick it up pretty fast.

Windows 7 is a vast improvement over Vista. Its faster and far more intutive. Most importantly they fixed UAC and most of the problems that plagued Vista.
