Delta Goodrem premiered hot new single Think About You

DELTA Goodrem’s steamy new single Think About You wasn’t the only song to score its live premiere on Sydney Harbour last night.

The pop superstar, who graced the stage with her current boyfriend Matthew Copley, busted out a faithful crowd-pleasing romp through Olivia Newton-John’s enduring hit Physical, complete with deliberately kitsch aerobics moves at the V Island party.

Goodrem will star as the much-loved singer and actor for the Seven miniseries Hopelessly Devoted To You which will air later this year.

She is expected to be heading into the studio in the US to record with her idol Newton-John for the series in the coming weeks.

It is another busy year for the Born To Try singer, whose latest single Think About You marks yet another dramatic sonic shift for the popular chart-topper, as she kicks off another year in the red chair for The Voice.

While it had a soft debut on the ARIA charts at No. 32 this week, the song has performed strongly on the iTunes charts where it peaked at No. 1 on release and has received more than half a million streams.

As radio airplay also kicks in, the single should make its way into the upper echelons of the ARIA chart in the next couple of weeks.

That song wasn’t the only one to score a rapturous squeal of approval from the Sydney Harbour crowd.

The effervescent singer, rocking a white jumpsuit, won hearts among the biggest crowd in V Island Party history with her note-perfect performances of Wings, Born To Try, Sitting On Top Of The World and The River.

Goodrem had an hilarious wrestle with her piano during one song when it started moving as waves rocked the venue.

She didn’t stay anchored to the stage, and stepped off to sing with fans and pose for mid-gig selfies.

Among the jam-packed crowd was Copley’s mate and Outlander star David Berry, The Voice winner Alfie Arcuri and American actor Scott Eastwood who is in town promoting his latest film Pacific Rim Uprising.

Highlights of the gig will be on V on March 3 from midday.
