Lisa Frank settles copyright infringement case

Recommended Posts

Tucson businesswoman Lisa Frank has settled a copyright lawsuit filed against a Canadian company, according to court records.

Frank claimed the Orb Factory copied her images for their packaging and filed suit in 2015 U.S. District Court in Tucson.

Few details of the settlement were released, but both sides paid their own legal fees, and Orb was ordered to pay $6,200 in jury fees.

The Orb Factory sells a variety of toys to Walmart and Amazon. Their Sticky Mosaics were used as an example in the lawsuit that claims they have a look and feel of the Lisa Frank Incorporated brand.
