  1. Thanks suburban,I really just did the tutorial as a basic guide to help people. Its not 100% accurate just to try and give people an idea about difficulty with seeding trackers. I have mixed feelings with scc, when i joined a good few years ago it used to be very difficult to maintain a good ratio but yes i do agree, now they have the archive section etc it makes it much easier. When i created the original tutorial i got many mixed feelings there too but thats ok and i hope that it does give some people a general guide. Thanks. T-P.
  2. PMing you the link i made the tutorial on.
  3. That is my tutorial Trader that i created on another website mate. What do you mean dead tracker?.
  4. I'm not sure if a guide has been posted before but i thought i would share this to help out people that are new to private trackers and are wondering if they need a seedbox or not. I am personally looking for one myself at the moment, whilst looking i came across some useful information that i thought i would share, i came across this list which will hopefully help. I probably don’t have to tell you that maintaining a good sharing ratio on your private trackers is crucial to keeping the account. Period. However, no tracker is alike - I would like to break this down a little further and delve into the seeding secrets behind individual trackers. The "i need a seedbox" myth: While a seedbox can (and will) greatly improve your ratio at a much faster rate than seeding through a home connection, especially for 0Day sites, it isn’t necessary for most trackers. While the fact remains that many trackers comprise of members that use RSS feeds hooked up to a powerful seedbox, or, IRC feeds that run straight from the #announce channel, there are many clever options to circumvent this with a home BitTorrent client. You’ll probably not hit a 1:1 ratio in uTorrent within the first 24 hours - patience is the key. Looking below, the Seedbox required? is not mandatory. ANIMEBYTES. seedbox : will help freeleech: NO BITME/BITMETV seedbox : difficult to seed, recommended. freeleech: NO BITGAMER. seedbox required: NO. freeleech: YES. BITSOUP.ORG. seedbox required: MEDUIM freeleech: NO CINEMAGEDDON seedbox required: MEDIUM freeleech: YES DEEPBASENINE. seedbox required:MEDIUM freeleech:NO. DEMONOID. seedbox required: NO freeleech: YES FUNFILE/PRETOME. seedbox required: NO. freeleech: YES HORROR CHANNEL seedbox required: not necessary but would help. freeleech: NO. iPLAY.RO seedbox required: LOW-MEDIUM (60,000 seeders but just 2000 leechers) freeleech: YES IPTORRENTS seedbox required: NO. freeleech: YES. KARAGARGA. seedbox : recommended. freeleech: YES METAL.IPLAY.RO. seedbox required:MEDIUM freeleech: YES. NORDIC-T seedbox required: NO freeleech: YES REVOLUTION TT seedbox required:MEDIUM freeleech: YES SCC seedbox required: recommended. freeleech: YES TEHconnection.eu seedbox required: MEDIUM freeleech: YES. TORRENTLEECH. seedbox required: NO freeleech:YES. TTI.nu seedbox required:LOW-MEDIUM freeleech: YES. WHAT.CD/WAFFLES. seedbox required: MEDIUM freeleech: YES. XS-XTREME SPEEDS. seedbox required:NO. freeleech: YES (torrent of the month). TB-the box. seedbox required:NO. freeleech: YES (always) PTP-passthepopcorn seedbox required: NO. freeleech: YES. Trackers with No Ratio: You’ll simply need to seed from anywhere between 48-72 hours to stay in the good graces of these ratio-free trackers (although good members tend to seed much longer): * FtN * GFT * iFi * iTS * PtN I understand this is not a full list of all the private trackers, just the popular ones. Hope the list helps. THIS IS JUST A GUIDE!!! T-P.
  5. I know we all use and love our cell/mobile phones so i thought i would share a little something here. I recently came across this site for Blackberry's, you may have stumbled across it or not but this truly is a great site for Blackberry Apps,Games and all things Blackberry. If you own a Blackberry give it a try - http://crackberry.com/ T-P.
  6. I agree with 443556,i love windows 7 ultimate but mac has to have much more security and power for development. I hated vista big time but now windows 7 is here windows seems to be better by far.
  7. I wouldn't say TL is difficult at all to be honest just be careful what torrents you jump on first, this probably applies to most trackers.Make sure you download new releases that you know will be popular for a long time. My personal experience with hard to seed trackers has to be SCC,BITME.TV,SCT,WAFFLES,WHAT.CD. If you don't have a seed box for these trackers you will atleast need a very fast connection from your isp.
  8. Saw this one this morning,i just think this is really cool!!,one of the best ive seen imo.
  9. I have seen in many forums 150 x 250 and they look really good but i really don't mind which size you go with.Just what everybody else thinks is a good size. Its nice that you guys are taking our thoughts and ideas in to consideration. T-P.
  10. http://torrentfreak.com/police-raids-tear-apart-hungarian-bittorrent-scene-100618/ There was a police raid in Hungary. Most Hungary-based trackers, namely MesevilĂĄg, Blue-Dragon, Evolution, MajomparĂĄdĂŠ, Gigatorrents, nCore are down (not sure how many of this has to do with the raid), as are most of the Hungary-based seedboxes. I know, these aren't so popular trackers here, but I thought it was worth posting. T-P.
  11. WOW headies, starting off with sct must have been nice mate!! i started with demonoid lol. I also used public trackers a lot until i got tired of getting viruses lol.
  12. Not using it yet kidla mate, still using Utorrent 1.8.4 because BCG don't allow 2.0. Not sure how many trackers are using 3.0 but BCG is one of my fave trackers so im just keeping them happy for now bro!.
  13. As the title says, post your best sites for desktop wallpapers. I love HD walls so here is mine. http://www.wallpapers-room.com/newest/17/ http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/downloads/date/any/ Whats your favorite?.
  14. Yep,great security. Also kaspersky is a awesome anti-virus but they blacklist keys ALL the time.
  15. Earlier this year BitTorrent Inc. launched uTorrent Apps, a web-based extensions framework to add new functionality to the popular BitTorrent client without compromising the lightness most users have come to love. uTorrent App files have a .btapp suffix and consist entirely of HTML and Javascript. The Apps can be added to the client with a single click and are displayed using an embedded browser window. Similar to other apps, addons and extensions in today’s web browsers and phones, uTorrent Apps will allow 3rd party developers to create applications that will integrate seamlessly with the client. Initially only a handful of Apps were included with the experimental ‘Griffin‘ client. This project merged with the latest uTorrent 3.0 alpha release last week and today BitTorrent Inc. made an SDK available that developers can use to code their own Apps. “Apps for uTorrent is something that we are really passionate about. For us, it is a natural and important evolution of uTorrent,” says Simon Morris, BitTorrent’s VP of Product Management. “It is a way for users to create a personalized experience by adding Apps that offer new features and services that are important to them – without compromising the lightness that they have come to love with uTorrent.” “Another important component of Apps for uTorrent is the developer community. Apps that inspire new and innovative uses of uTorrent – built by developers – are an important part of our vision.” To stimulate the development of uTorrent Apps, BitTorrent Inc. is also starting a developers challenge, awarding a $1000 prize to the best App to be submitted during the coming month. With the challenge they hope to encourage developers worldwide to create Apps that will highlight new use cases and redefine how uTorrent is being used. The Apps bundled with the latest release of uTorrent 3.0 are far from groundbreaking, so it will be interesting to see what creative implementations other developers come up with. Entries to the Apps developer challenge will be judged based on originality and innovation, quality of product, product or service appeal and technical expertise. The contest closes on Friday, August 13, 2010. 16. Yes kidla very worth while!! I guess it depends on how much you download and seed. At some trackers its very difficult to survive with out a seed box. SCC,BITME.TV,SCT(WHEN IT WAS AROUND),Mostly high level trackers require a seed box or you just won't last there. Of course, you could always max out your internet connection to get good speeds,im at 8meg down right now but still doesn't compare to a seed box.As far as expense goes, you can get some seed boxes now for less than $10 a month if you look around.
  17. Well, i know i asked a few of you guys here about seed box purchasing. There are so many questions, sites, offers revolving seed boxes so i thought i would do a helpful tutorial to help everybody out that is not clear on what to buy and what to look out for. Many people already own seed boxes but if you don't then this tutorial may be a little help. HOW TO BUY A SEEDBOX: WHICH SEEDBOX IS RIGHT FOR ME? Buying a seedbox could be a daunting process. Which one is the best? How much is it? Where do I start? The aim of this tutorial is to hopefully aid you in selecting the seedbox which is right for you. What this is not intended for "seedbox reviews" or "which seedbox is the best". The correct answer is it depends on you. WHERE TO START So you want to get a seedbox. Here are some things you should ask yourself before you actually search for the perfect one. 1) Your budget: just how much you're willing to spend? If you have no money to spend, go HERE and request a seedbox. 2) Are you actually going to use the downloaded content? or are you just buffering accounts? This choice is, in my humble opinion, the most important one. While searching for seedboxes, you may notice that the $20 service you found only has 10 gb of download space! Those services are used to buffer your ratio on SEVERAL trackers and delete your downloaded content. If you buy a seedbox with small harddrive space and hope to use your downloaded content, you'll have a difficult time. Also, if you are rotating through a number of trackers, you may want a package with a bigger harddrive space. Keep in mind the size of the content you may be downloading, and what purpose you are downloading it for! 3) What client am I allowed to use? Many trackers only allow specific clients. Run through the RULES and FAQs on your trackers and write see what clients are allowed or suggested. You may have to make your purchase based around this fact. If you are unsure EMAIL OR PM YOUR TRACKER STAFF. Don't be afraid to ask them a question, they are there for that reason. FINDING ONE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH Luckily, you people have a jump start with this. A quick run through the Seedbox's / Hosting section could get you quick information on the kinds of seedboxes you're looking for. Remember before you post, search! If you can't find what you are looking for GOOGLE IT! If you are still stuck, come back here and make a cohesive thread on specifically what you are trying to find. Take your time finding one that suits your needs because it's your money. You'll be stuck with it for a month's time. SUGGESTIONS First off, these are some simple suggestions that I feel are important to look out for when making your purchases. 1) CHECK THE FEATURES I don't think there is one seedbox service that are the same. With each price, look at what you are getting: -disk space (10gb,20gb,100gb,1TB, depends on you) -speed (100mbps or better always) -bandwidth (stay away from ones that limit this) -amount of torrents downloading (try to get ones with unlimited) -operating system (linux preferred) -client (if linux, rtorrent/torrentflux preferred; windows - utorrent) -kind of server it's on (specifications - processor, RAM, etc) -FTP access (very important if you need it for content) -IP address (stay away from ones that are shared generally) -special features (http proxy, encryption, support) -fees (setup fee and cancellation fees - WATCH OUT) -server location (is the server IP in a country that is banned by your tracker?) -deals (event deals or packages) 2) STAY AWAY FROM Don't limit yourself to just one package. Many good services have more than one type of seedbox each with their own features. Stay away from services that: -limit the amount of torrents you can run. -use banned clients -limit your monthly upload download of any kind -use shared IP addresses (you may need to check with your tracker how to note you are on a shared IP) BUYING WITHOUT PAYPAL OR CREDIT CARDS Now the purchase, the final step. If you don't have a paypal account nor access to a credit card, there is one suggestion that I can give: VISA pre paid card. I'm not 100% sure if all services will take it, but I have used VISA pre paid cards to buy online things in the past and these should not be an exception. In time when i find some good see box deals i will post the links. Ok some sites to look at but prices vary - http://www.seedmonster.net/ http://pulsedmedia.com/ http://yourseedbox.com/ If your confused about which client to use with a seed box go with Utorrent and Rtorrent. Utorrent is for windows and linux, Rtorrent is for linux. If you already have a seed box from a good site then feel free to post site links etc to help others. T-P.
  18. I know of the list but its always nice to see in these forums. It gives new people a good idea of tracker levels. Thanks for the post.
  19. Its crazy to think the world will end in 2012 lol. Seriously guys sit back and think about this!!! deluded is an understatement. Lets talk about aliens running around in area 51...lol that's more believable than the world ending in 2012.
  20. Im having to use vuse right now which is not light at all. Hopefully utorrent will be much better with version 3.0. BCG don't allow utorrent ver.2.0 and i use BCG a lot. Utorrent is THE best client imo.
  21. very nice and clear tutorial. Ive heard about this they are doing but not sure that i would pay to use imageshack seedbox.
