Good tutorial This is perhaps the most important piece of advice for a noob.

It's cheaper and in most cases is good enough.

Uploading via FTP is super slow and you have a lot of data to move. If you old provider supports HTTP downloads or link sharing you can zip everything (perhaps in batches), ssh into the new box and download via wget, it's gonna go way faster.

A friend of mine has used their services for nearly 2 years and is super happy about his experience so far. I just signed up a few days ago and I have no complains really.
