  1. The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday they waived running back Mark Walton after learning he was involved in a "police matter." ESPN's Cameron Wolfe reported the release came after Walton was charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman. Walton, 22, has been accused of "pushing [the woman] into a wall and punching her several times in her face and head." The woman is five weeks pregnant, and Walton is the father, per Wolfe. "We were made aware of a police matter earlier this morning regarding Mark Walton," Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said. "We hold our players to a high standard and take these matters very seriously. We will have no further comment at this time." Walton received a four-game suspension in early November for a violation of the NFL's conduct and substance abuse policies related to three offseason arrests. He released a statement through his agent after receiving the suspension: "As most of you know, I was involved in some incidents this offseason that I am now receiving a 4-game suspension for. I want to apologize to the Miami Dolphins, the fans, my friends and family and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want to thank the Dolphins for giving me this opportunity and will make the most of this chance as a person and player when I return." Walton was waived by the Bengals in April after his third arrest and signed by the Dolphins in May.
  2. Exactly one week today, a huge report dropped that detailed the system the Astros were using to steal signs during the 2017 World Series. The team reportedly had a center-field camera fixed on the catcher, someone decoded the signs on a monitor in the hallway between the dugout and clubhouse which was caught in their World Series championship DVD. According to Joel Sherman of The New York Post. Sherman says that he heard Astros players may have worn a buzzer device on their body to help relay signs. From Sherman:
  3. Longtime Hockey Night in Canada commentator Don Cherry says Sportsnet "made it impossible" for him to explain the controversial comments that led to his firing from the network. The Associated Press (via ESPN) noted Cherry said on the Grapevine podcast he wanted to explain the remarks but was not willing to apologize or accept other conditions set by Sportsnet in order for him to retain his position. Cherry said on his podcast, "Two little words just seemed to set everybody off." He used the phrase "you people"—widely viewed as directed toward immigrants and minorities—during a Remembrance Day discussion. He said on his podcast that wasn't the case and that he wanted a chance to expand on his stance on air, but it wasn't granted. The 85-year-old Kingston, Ontario, native was fired by Sportsnet on Nov. 11. Cherry was a Hockey Night in Canada staple with his "Coach's Corner" segment, which began in 1982. He became known for his old-school hockey opinions, highlighted by his belief that fighting was a necessary part of the game, as well as his colorful suits. The former hockey player and coach started the Grapevine podcast with his son, Tim, following his termination by Sportsnet.

  7. Honestly surprised they were able to grab it instead of whatever network/studio they acquired it from using it for their own streaming platform.
