The IRC auth service is now in place and ready to be enabled, but it's not the same as before. With our new IRC comes new features, one of these features is GroupServ, this allows more powerful control over channel access lists. And we're going to leverage this new feature to make MTV easier to use! Here's what you need to do in order to use MTV's IRC: Step1: Register your nick Register your nick with NickServ on our new IRC network: /ns REGISTER <email> <password> Step2: Authenticate your nick Go to the security page here on MTV and click the "Auth" button in the IRC section. Note that you can only Auth a nick that shares your username. If you have taken a different Nick then you will need to contact staff to have them approve it and auth it for you. Step3: Join our channel /join #mtv
