Netflix has plans to work on a Stranger Things mobile game that would let players explore the world of the Upside Down. The game would take inspiration from the hit TV series on the streaming subscription provider.

This mobile game is not, however, the same game as Stranger Things 3: The Game, which Netflix announced at the 2018 Game Awards. That title will follow events of the third season of the TV show and launch on consoles, PC and mobile. Instead, this is an entirely new mobile game experience for iOS and Android that will let players explore the creepy world of the Upside Down. The game is in development by Next Games, a company known for its The Walking Dead mobile titles.

Netflix unveiled details about the new mobile game in a press release the company sent out a few days ago, emphasizing how it focuses on the friendships of the TV show, as well as their shared supernatural adventure.
