Rambo takes on Godzilla in a hilarious fan-made mashup trailer. Aside from Rocky Balboa, John Rambo is probably Sylvester Stallone's most popular character. Godzilla on the other hand is the kaiju first made famous back in 1954 for Ishirô Honda's Gojira. Godzilla has been brought back to the theaters multiple times over the past 65 years, while Rambo has only had four movies.

The characters really have nothing to do with each other, but both have movies in theaters this year. Godzilla's newest movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, was released at the end of May, while fans still have to wait a few more months for Rambo: Last Blood. The fifth Rambo movie is said to be the last entry of the series and will see Rambo going up against a Mexican cartel that kidnapped a young girl. Rambo has gone up against several metaphorical "monsters" in the past four movies, but a new fan-made trailer sees Rambo take on the King of Monsters himself.

In the new trailer mashup from Funny or Die, Rambo goes up against Godzilla, King Kong, and several other creatures from the Monsterverse. The trailer combines several scenes and lines from Stallone's films with scenes from Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The trailer even includes part of his motivational speech he gives to Adonis Creed in the first Creed film. Check out the trailer below:

While it's safe to assume Godzilla won't ever go up against Rambo, the King of the Monsters will battle more giant kaiju in future movies. There are already rumors on monsters that could be the villain in Godzilla 3, but before that movie happens, Godzilla will battle King Kong in Godzilla vs. Kong next year. Godzilla: King of the Monsters also introduced several new Titans like Methuselah, Behemoth, and Scylla, who could turn against Godzilla in a future movie.

Much like the Rambo movies, the Godzilla films have gotten mixed reviews over the years. Godzilla's most recent outing scored the lowest opening weekend of the Monsterverse, despite having giant monster battles between Mothra, King Ghidorah, Rodan, and Godzilla. Having Rambo and Godzilla in the same movie would be bizarre mashup, but would also be ironic since Rambo V was almost a monster movie. Fans shouldn't count on ever seeing these two franchises combined, but fan trailers like this one for Rambo vs Godzilla are fun for fans of both franchises to watch regardless.

Rambo 5: Last Blood (2019) release date: Sep 20, 2019
Godzilla vs. Kong (2020) release date: Mar 13, 2020
