BakaBT is a private BitTorrent tracker, focused on East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) content. Content is quite diverse : Artbooks, Music videos, OSTs, live action and of course Anime series and movies. BakaBT became a private tracker on April 11th, 2017. BakaBT was formed in 2009 after the Boxtorrents extinction. It is the largest anime-dedicated private trackers around.

With 55,0006 registered users BakaBT is the largest private anime tracker around. BakaBT is tracking 20,000+ Torrents with 0 unseeded, there are many active members always searching for the best quality material to be able to archive them in the best possible quality over many years and maybe many decades in the future. Forums are always active, and the staff are willing to help whenever you need them and the encoders/uploads are always testing source material for creating the best encodes.

Maintaining a good ratio is not an easy task despite the Seedbonus System in place. Joining BakaBT is very hard. The tracker is completely closed as there is no invite system. One of the best anime trackers in the game along with Animebytes. Highly Recommended.

I agree to this. Back then it was pretty easy to sign in. And when they implemented the invite-only policy upon registration, it was going well and fast for those who want to sign up. I stopped watching Anime and got my old account pruned. When I signed up again, it took me two days to try and ask for an invite link via their IRC chat. Luckily it wasn't two days straight-- I took breaks, of course.

I would say, before they went off as a private tracker, there were many torrents to search and choose from. But when they did turn into an invite-only tracker, many torrents have also been removed due copyright issues by the company that licensed the IP. That is understandable, but for someone else's perspective, it's honestly sad since only old media can be found now, and rarely uploads mainstream and recent ones that aired.

Consider reading my message above yours. But to cut it short, many companies like FUNimation licensed majority of the mainstream Anime aired on TV, and has approached BakaBT to stop making their IP (intellectual property) circulating within the private tracker. That's why you won't see much torrents of recent Anime that has been licensed by FUNimation.

Keep the tab with the IRC open and be check regularly, they ask if anyone's there and you can move up queue is someone before you is inactive. Took a couple of hours for me

I know I'm horrible, but is there dubbed Anime? My eyes and brain make it hard for me to watch and read at the same time. I miss the show while trying to read the subs.

The ratio system is fucking brutal man. Especially if you're in it for obscure manga and especially anime. Those almost never hava a FHD source and therefore freeleech never applies to them.

This has been one of the best sites out there for a long time.  I was devastated when I discovered my account was pruned for inactivity but my fault for letting Minecraft eclipse everything else.
