Most people will say a desktop is better because they are cheaper, you can upgrade them over time more easily, and they have better heat management as well. Plus desktops have options for better parts too. But if you just prefer a laptop you can still get a really good gaming laptop. I personally have a gaming laptop and I really like it. I cant have a desktop cause I don't have space for a desktop and I need it to be portable. I like laptops better anyway but I can still admit it has downfalls when you consider the long term.

ps4 4 is not an option and the only benefits it really has is that in competitive theres less factors that can give other players an advantage because your using all the same hardware.

 

but its not as poowerful its not as prtable as a laptop you cant upgade it the way you can a desktop. and if you really like the controller well you can just connect it to your computer.

It would depend on the type of games you play, and the duration, and situation, where you play.

 

A desktop is the best option, owing to the spec options, the upgradability, quiet operation, ability to ergonomically place peripherals, and monitors. You can play every kind of game at higher settings, more comfortably for longer on a desktop, and also with better control, compared to any other platform.

 

However, the worst platform for gaming is the one that doesn't gets used. If for example, you move a lot, or don't have space, a desktop is not a practical option, regardless of all its merits. A laptop or a console, or even a mobile device would be a much better option in such circumstances.
