a seedbox provider should never betray its users. If i heard about a seedbox provider that even once handed out information i would never use them or trust them.It would be such a awful thing to do against your customer. A seedbox provider with honor would never do so. But until i have heard otherwise i trust some of the providers.

The same goes for vpns.

quite the rebels these guys. 😄

always giving the middle finger to the government

That's correct!

I have them as my ISP and using their VPN, even tho I don't "need" one. But I still have a Seedbox for the speed and easy access through FTP.

Seedboxes help you get the torrent file faster,

and other peers who do not have a seedbox, help them get it faster.

Also keeps the torrent on for Longer time with little cost to the user.

Pretty much win for all.

That sounds good in theory but most seedbox owners have limited space so they only use it for racing hoarding ratio and dropping the torrent soon after. That hurts the tracker retention in the long term.

Honestly thinking, It is their choice. Example, If I buy a Bentley, you cannot force me to show-off and ride around the town, maybe I like it in only my garage.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is no rule against Ratio Hoarding anywhere.

I do ratio hoard to some limit, because there are some old shows I have to download, which I know later I will not be able to seed (no one will download from me even after a long time). so I have to keep a buffer.

When someone "Races" on freeleech torrents, obviously he/she is seeding in the Process, so maybe the other user seeds for longer.

You can say that seedbox users hurt the trackers retention, because they only use them to build ratio up, and it's true. I don't know if anyone keeps old torrents on their seedboxes.

Most old torrents reside on some big NAS in someones home, there are users that don't delete any torrent they download and have high speed connection.

But i also think its the uploaders obligation to seed indefinitely every torrent they upload.

Its just ratio being exchanged between seedboxes on those torrents with Autodl. Retention is the most important measure of quality for private trackers. You can get new torrents fast from any trackers public or private. Finding that old movie or tv show and getting good speed from perma-seed users is what matters in my opinion of course.
