Hulu has unveiled the first trailer for their upcoming holiday film Happiest Season. Directed by Clea DuVall, Happiest Season follows happy couple Abby (Kristen Stewart) and Harper (Mackenzie Davis) as the holidays approach. Abby wants to propose to Harper at Harper's family's Christmas dinner, but she soon learns of a major issue: Harper hasn't come out to her family. Beyond Stewart and Davis, Happiest Season stars Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Dan Levy, Mary Holland (who co-wrote the film with DuVall), Victor Garber, and Mary Steenburgen.

The original plan was for Happiest Season to debut in theaters. However, this year has been an unfortunate time for theatrical releases due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Happiest Season soon became the latest film to adjust its plan. News broke a few weeks ago that Happiest Season will debut exclusively on Hulu on November 25, just in time for the holidays. This makes it the latest film to jump straight to streaming, following an increasingly lengthy list that includes projects like Mulan, The Lovebirds, and The Witches.

Monday afternoon, Hulu released the very first trailer for Happiest Season. In addition to putting a spotlight on its star-studded cast (Schitt's Creek fans will be pleased to see plenty of Levy), the trailer perfectly tees up the complicated, yet ultimately heartwarming (hopefully) story of a woman trying to own up to her true self for love. Check it out down below.
