Milla Jovovich's daughter made everyone cry on set while filming Black Widow. Marvel Studios is kicking off their Phase 4 on the big screen with the Scarlett Johansson-led movie which finally gives Natasha Romanoff her long-delayed solo film.

Set in the two years between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Black Widow works around its titular character's controversial death in Avengers: Endgame. This also allows Marvel Studios to retroactively introduce some of the key figures in Nat's life before she became a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and eventually an Avenger. New MCU key players mainly include Nat's first family: David Harbour's Alexei Shoskatov/Red Guardian, Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz's Melina. Black Widow will also hopefully give the character the send-off she deserves — something that she didn't get in Endgame following her sacrifice in Vormir.

To be able to effectively do this, Black Widow should also function as an effective origin story for Nat, and Marvel Studios knows that, which is why they're also featuring the character at a much younger age. This version of Nat will be played by Jovovich's 13-year-old daughter, Ever, who apparently had everyone in tears while filming a scene for the blockbuster as her mother told ET:

"We call her Baby Widow. She's such a fan of the Marvel movies and you know, Ever is just such an incredible talent. She's just a real natural and it was so wonderful to watch her on set."

"I mean, literally, she had everybody crying during one of her scenes! She's amazing. I think people are going to be really, really impressed when they see the movie next year."

Marketing for Black Widow has yet to reveal a young Natasha in the film, and it's possible that it will stay like that, opting to keep the reveal in the film instead. That being said, with still around five months before the blockbuster hopefully releases safely in theaters, Marvel Studios might opt to release one more full trailer to drum up interest as its release nears. In conjunction with that, they could also roll out a string of TV spots, and at this point where they may have used most of the promotional shots in other trailers due to its unplanned extended marketing period due to coronavirus, Kevin Feige and his team might not have a choice but to unveil new scenes. They could include shots of Ever as young Nat without giving away spoilers just as long as they carefully craft any future official footage.

While it might take a little while before Ever's touching scene is released, Jovovich's revelation is an indication that Black Widow is tying narrative loose ends for its titular character. Nat was a key player in the MCU since she was debuted in Iron Man 2 but unlike most of her fellow founding Avengers, there's very little known about her past before she became Nick Fury's trusted operative. Revealing her full backstory may be a little too late considering her fate in Endgame, but it's the least Marvel Studios can do at this point.
