Microsoft has now revealed what the exclusive lineup for the Xbox Series X/S will be for the rest of 2021. All of the games that the company listed are ones that will not be coming to other consoles, so players will only be able to check them out on either the Xbox One or the Series X/S. While many of the titles were previously announced, many are ones that had yet to be given a release window or much information.

This year is already shaping up to be a very big one for Microsoft and Xbox. The launch of the Xbox Series X last November helped bring about the newest generation of video games to players around the world. The new console was without a doubt Microsoft's biggest console launch with the company selling more than a million units on its very first day. This is despite the fact that there weren't many exclusive games available for it yet, but that is something that Microsoft intends to fix over the next year.

This morning Microsoft decided to put out the list of all the currently known exclusive games coming to its latest consoles. Many of these titles are ones that were already expected and greatly anticipated like Halo Infinite or The Gunk, which was shown off during last year's Xbox Games Showcase. There were other smaller titles mentioned as well like ExoMecha which is a free-to-play competitive shooter and The Big Con, a game about a teenage grifter trying to save her mom's video store. Interestingly, Xbox mentions Psychonauts 2 on the list, which, while not exclusive, will be a part of the Xbox Games Pass. Here are all the games that were listed:

  • Adios
  • The Artful Escape
  • The Ascent
  • The Big Con
  • CrossfireX
  • Dead Static Drive
  • Echo Generation
  • ExoMecha
  • Exo One
  • The Gunk
  • Halo Infinite
  • The Last Stop
  • Lake
  • Little Witch in the Woods
  • The Medium
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator
  • Psychonauts 2
  • RPG Time
  • Sable
  • Scorn
  • She Dreams Elsewhere
  • Shredders
  • Song of Iron
  • Tunic
  • Twelve Minutes
  • Unexplored 2: Wayfarer's Legacy
  • Warhammer 40K: Darktide
  • Way to the Woods
  • The Wild at Heart
  • The Yakuza Remastered Collection

While that is a very large list of exclusive titles for the Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft may have to put in a lot more work if it wants to seriously compete with the PlayStation 5. Despite the fact that the PlayStation 5 released after Series X and Series S, Sony's console managed to double the Xbox's sales. The PS5 has already pulled pretty far ahead early on in this generation, but it remains to be seen how the two consoles will fare against each other in the coming years.

Many gamers' complaints with Xbox is that it tends to not have as many exclusive games as PlayStation does. It seems that Microsoft is making a considerable effort to close the gap between it and its competitor by investing in as many exclusive IPs as possible. Who knows if this will pay off, but it will be interesting to see how these exclusive titles perform.
