An Avengers: Infinity War fan video imagines what Iron Man's stealth suit would look like if Zack Snyder directed the film. Helmed by Joe and Anthony Russo after the success of Captain America: Civil War, the 2018 film set up the culmination of the Infinity Saga in Avengers: Endgame. It properly introduced Thanos which forced all known heroes in the MCU to band together against the Mad Titan.

The villain's arrival was also Tony Stark's worst nightmare slowly coming to fruition. Ever since his near-death experience during the Battle of New York in The Avengers, Iron Man had been haunted by the name-less extraterrestrial threat who would once again attempt to take over Earth. Unfortunately, his warning about this fell on deaf ears which, and to make matters worse, Thanos' attack came at a point when the Avengers were broken up. Still, Tony worked on his own to prepare for the imminent fight that was coming, hence how he came up with the nano-suit which was arguably still his most advanced armor. Unfortunately for him, it still wasn't powerful enough to stop the Mad Titan from his nefarious plan to eradicate half of life in the galaxy.

YouTube channel Ali puts an interesting spin on Iron Man's Mark 50 by painting it all gray/black for a stealthier look. The creator's inspiration for the edit comes from the idea of what the suit would be like had Snyder directed Infinity War in conjunction with Superman getting the black suit in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Check it out below:

Snyder has made a name for his signature aesthetics. This was the reason why it was fairly easy to decipher which scenes in the 2017 Justice League theatrical cut were shot by him and which ones were filmed by Joss Whedon, who incidentally was once an MCU helmer. Fortunately for Snyder, after almost three years of relentless campaigning by his fans, the Snyder Cut was finally finished and released on HBO Max, and to be fair, it looked a lot better compared to its cinematic counterpart.

Admittedly, the dark Iron Man armor in the aforementioned edit looks so much sleeker. But for some reason, it just doesn't feel right with regard to what's happening in the scene. Perhaps it's because Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw were already monochromatically designed as well; couple that with the daytime setting and Tony's suit doesn't pop out anymore which it typically does. Otherwise, it could simply be because it's odd to see an Iron Man armor without its signature colors. In any case, as cool of a concept this is, seeing the traditional red and gold in Avengers: Infinity War is still better.
