A trailer has arrived for the Danish action-thriller, Riders of Justice. Written and directed by Anders Thomas Jensen, the film stars recent Indiana Jones's inductee Mads Mikkelsen as a soldier returning home to take care of his daughter after his wife dies in an accidental train explosion. Originally released in Denmark in 2020, the twisty drama has already earned plenty of accolades in Scandinavia to go along with its pre-stateside 88% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Now, Magnolia Pictures & Magnet Releasing has dropped a new trailer for Riders of Justice. After two bookish investigators inform Markus (Mikkelsen) that the train accident that killed his wife was not an accident at all, they seek revenge on the group responsible, the Riders of Justice. Packed with comedic elements as well, the film balances its skull-smashing fistfights and blistering gunplay with awkward car rides and the culture clash between two very different types of crimefighters. Check out the full trailer for Riders of Justice below:

Though a genre-blending thriller in its own right, the film also marks another intriguing chapter in Mikkelsen's remarkable rise from fringe Hollywood figure to mainstream-adjacent star. After a string of Danish art films, the steely-eyed actor made waves as memorable villain, Le Chiffre in Daniel Craig's James Bond debut Casino Royale. Since then, Mikkelsen has starred in NBC's Hannibal as the titular cannibal, attempted to gain eternal life in Doctor Strange, and replaced Johnny Depp as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3. For Americans just getting familiar with the Scandinavian thespian, Riders of Justice should be a perfect opportunity to watch Mikkelsen channel his inner Liam Neeson when it finally arrives this May.
