Black Adam star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson teamed up with real-life Aquaman, Jason Momoa, to surprise his daughter on her third birthday. The two actors are part of the DC extended universe, which is currently expanding with a string of sequels and new titles in the works. Johnson is set to make his debut in the franchise as Black Adam, while Momoa will star in Aquaman 2 for the continuation of his character's story.

Both movies are slated for a 2022 theatrical release. Following 2019's Shazam!, Black Adam will see Johnson give his take on the powerful anti-hero as he faces off against the Justice Society of America (JSA). Other actors attached to the film include Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Meanwhile, Aquaman 2 will follow Arthur Curry's journey as embraces his fate as the king of Atlantis. While Black Adam and Aquaman have yet to cross paths in the DCEU, it's clear that Johnson and Momoa have already established a friendly relationship.

In his latest Instagram post, Johnson shared a video of Momoa greeting his three-year-old daughter on her birthday. Little Tia wanted Aquaman to join them for breakfast and asked her dad to draw her favorite character so she could hang it on her wall. Aside from showing his artistic skills, The Rock proved that he's an awesome dad and enlisted the help of Momoa to make Tia's day even more special. In turn, the Game of Thrones alum gamely responded and sent a video greeting, which The Rock and his kids played on their TV. "I had to make the call...it's what daddy's do," Johnson wrote in the caption. Check out the adorable clip below:

According to the 48-year-old actor, his toddler has been obsessed with Aquaman and even thinks that the superhero is "cooler than Daddy." Johnson went on to thank Momoa for his nice gesture, who later replied that they do these things for the next generation.

While fans certainly did not expect to see this collaboration between their two idols, it's nice to see men in Hollywood dedicate their time to their families. Johnson and Momoa's latest exchange certainly endears them to their young audiences who are waiting for the release of the succeeding DC films. As Johnson makes his entrance to the franchise with Black Adam, fans can only hope to see more real-life teamwork between their favorite superheroes.
