Thor: Love & Thunder Wraps Filming In One Month

Recommended Posts

Director Taika Waititi announces that Thor: Love and Thunder will wrap filming in one month. Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder had a rough start in the MCU - the first two Thor films weren't looked upon as fondly as Marvel's other movies. That all changed, though, when Waititi took the reins on Thor: Ragnarok. Released to stellar reviews and a positive fan reception, the third Thor film revitalized the character thanks, in part, to Waititi's idiosyncratic take on the God of Thunder and a slew of new characters introduced in the film, including Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to introduce another set of galactic characters, as well as bring back some fan favorites. Christian Bale and Russell Crowe will be making their MCU debuts as Gorr the God Butcher and Zeus, respectively. Meanwhile, Thompson will be back as Valkyrie and so will the Guardians of the Galaxy. Thor: Love and Thunder will also see Natalie Portman return to the MCU as Jane Foster, following her journey into becoming Mighty Thor.

With an absolutely packed agenda, Thor: Love and Thunder is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Phase 4 films and Waititi says it's almost wrapped filming. The director tells Weekend Today (via Daily Mail) that they have about four weeks left of shooting on the film, saying that he "can see the light at the end of the tunnel," before adding that the fourth Thor film is "the best Marvel movie ever."

Fans are eager to see Hemsworth's return as the God of Thunder after his divisive characterization in Avengers: Endgame. Still, one of the best parts of the Phase 3 finale two-hander was Thor's time spent with the Guardians. Their appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder is set to shake things up and give Waititi the chance to play up their humorous dynamic. This, combined with what looks to be a few other surprises, makes the fourth Thor film highly anticipated, which is no easy feat when looking at the rest of the MCU's Phase 4 lineup.

When Black Widow finally hits theaters and Disney+ in July, it will be the first time the MCU has released a theatrical project in over two years. That alone has fans clamoring for the next Marvel outing. On top of that, though, is the mystery surrounding the future of the franchise and just what's in store for Phase 4. Right now, it seems to be going in a number of directions, giving no hint as to how it will all tie together. Thor: Love and Thunder will give viewers a glimpse into what's going on on the cosmic side of things, laying the groundwork for future Marvel films and bringing back beloved characters in the process.

At the end of that saga, Thor was last seen leaving earth with the Guardians to places unknown and most of the team is expected to show up in his fourth solo outing. How big their role will be has remained an open qu

Chris Hemsworth shares a very low-budget Thor: Love and Thunder poster featuring him and director Taika Waititi. Marvel Studios gave the god of thunder a tonal makeover with Thor: Ragnarok by bringing Waititi aboard. After two Shakespearan and more serious solo films, the writer/director injected Thor's movies with an overwhelming comedic nature, a crazier story, and more zany visuals. This led to Thor: Ragnarok saving the franchise and Marvel Studios quickly working to bring Waititi and Hemswor

Dave Bautista recently commented that shooting Spectre, the 24th installment of the James Bond franchise, was a nightmare. In the film, Bautista plays one of SPECTRE's main henchmen, Hinx. As one of the film's antagonists, Hinx has plenty of action opposite Daniel Craig's James Bond, with the two sharing more than a few punches. The film sees Bond working to unmask the evil organization known as SPECTRE and run by Christoph Waltz's Ernst Blofeld. The reveal of Blofeld was meant to be kept under
