New behind-the-scenes photos from Spider-Man: No Way Home show Peter Parker is having a rough time back at school. Arguably the most anticipated upcoming MCU film, the Tom Holland led Spidey sequel has more speculation surrounding it than most blockbusters. From the rumored, but oft denied, return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective Peter Parkers and the confirmed return of Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx as Doc Ock and Electro, it seems like the Multiverse may be broken up in a big way this December.

All of this hype surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home has made more of the the everyday plot elements seem small in comparison, but Peter Parker will still have his normal life to contend with in the new film now that his identity has been revealed. This is sure to include more adventures with best friend Ned Leeds and girlfriend MJ, the pair of whom could be joining Peter Parker in the Sanctum Sanctorum. First, though, they're going back to high school.

Ned Leeds actor Jacob Batalon took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes photos of him and Holland on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home. In two photos, Holland can be seen wearing Peter Parker's Midtown High School hoodie. One of the photos is in what looks to be a gymnasium setting while the other looks to be in a classroom. The first photo, though, shows Batalon beaming while Holland looks less than thrilled with a bruised and scraped up face. Check out the photos below:

How Peter Parker will return to school is just one of many of Spider-Man: No Way Home's mysteries. Peter has never had an easy go of it at school, but with his cover as the web-slinger blown, he'll likely face even more scrutiny now. Add on the alleged murder of Mysterio AKA Quentin Beck and Peter Parker will become Midtown High School's most popular student and not in a good way.

Fortunately, Peter will have Ned and MJ to back him up and they'll be along for the ride. What that ride will look like is up in the air, though, and how much time the film will truly spend in the high school setting is unclear. With a lot of other things on the table, including the appearance of Doctor Strange and the opening of the Multiverse, Spider-Man: No Way Home has a lot to follow through on. With the film sticking to its high school roots, though, it will still be a quintessential Peter Parker adventure.
