A Quiet Place Part II may not be the typical feel-good family movie, but Neil Patrick Harris watched it with his daughter who loved the horror film. The 47-year-old comedian shares two children, twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, with husband David Burtka. Aside from starring in successful projects such as Gone Girl and A Series of Unfortunate Events, Harris is also loved by fans for posting adorable pictures with his family every Halloween.

Harris' review on A Quiet Place Part II comes ahead of the film's theatrical release on May 28. The movie is a sequel to the 2018 film about a family trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by blind monsters. Emily Blunt reprises her role as Evelyn Abbot, a mother of three who faces the insurmountable task of keeping her children safe after the loss of her husband (played in the first movie by John Krasinki). After the sound-sensitive creatures have ravaged their home, the Abbots need to venture out in search of a safe place. Like the first movie, A Quiet Place Part II is written and directed by Blunt's real-life husband, Krasinski, who also appears in a short flashback scene.

Harris recently took to Twitter to share his short but telling review on A Quiet Place Part II. The How I Met Your Mother star said the thriller is just as "AWESOME" as the first film. Harris shared that he saw the highly anticipated sequel with his 10-year-old daughter Harper. The comedian joked that his little girl loved all the suspense so much that she now has "stopped sleeping." Harris's comment has reached Krasinki who re-tweeted the post and thanked the veteran comedian for his hilariously honest movie review.

Following the box office success of A Quiet Place in 2018, Krasinki began developing the plot for the second movie. However, the sequel met a series of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a long wait, the highly anticipated sequel is finally set to make its way to the theaters on May 28. Aside from Harris, other movie critics have already given their positive reviews on A Quiet Place Part II, proving that Krasinki's thrilling saga isn't a one-time fluke.

While the original film was a major commercial success, A Quiet Place II certainly takes on a whole new relevance in this pandemic era. Many viewers will be able to relate to its story of struggle and survival after having experienced lockdowns while fighting an invisible virus. Additionally, the movie's theatrical release is crucial just as cinemas are starting to open up on the tail of COVID-19. Based on the string of rave reviews it's been getting, A Quiet Place II promises to be an exciting cinematic event.
