Mark Wahlberg looks totally different as he was spotted on the set of his upcoming movie, Stu. The film is a faith-based biopic about Father Stuart Long, a professional heavyweight boxer who discovered God after a near-fatal accident. After the incident, Long quit his boxing career to become a priest. Wahlberg has been committed to the project since 2016 and also serves as one of the movie's producers.

New set photos posted by Film Updates Media on Twitter show Wahlberg's dramatic transformation for his new role. In the images, the 49-year-old action star sports a cropped haircut and an overweight physique. Wahlberg also appears to be wearing a prosthetic chin and a fat suit to look more like the boxer-turned-priest.

Early this month, Wahlberg took to Instagram to reveal that he has been working hard to shed his ripped figure and pack on more pounds. Within three weeks, he has gained at least 20 pounds and a noticeable rounder abdomen. According to his personal chef, the actor's weight gain was achieved by eating eight meals a day for a total daily intake of around 7,000 calories.

While Wahlberg has been developing Stu for a number of years, it is only now that the movie is finally taking its shape. The film is written and directed by Rosalind Ross. Other cast members include Mel Gibson, Jacki Weaver, and Mexican actress Teresa Ruiz.
