Noteworthy Information
Users cannot transcend classes while they are warned.
Users can transcend classes if they have hit and runs.
Promotion or demotion to a class is complete within 15mins. When going up a User Class, the required Bonus Points to achieve the promotion are deducted from your total amount automatically. However, you do not get them back if you are demoted for any reason.
Mortal users can request uploading privileges by sending an PM to mango or phiend. Must be able to provide any requested proof (staff discretion) and an understanding of the site rules as outlined in the wiki. Users who wish to apply for early upload rights MUST meet and PROVIDE the following requirements (via screenshot in PM): Have a internet connection of 50Mbps or higher, either home or seedbox, proof is required. Ratio over 1.05. Can seed 24/7 or until there is 5 seeders. Have access to scene or good quality P2P files.
Users must login to the site at least once every 90 days. Failure to do so results in the user account being suspended and automatically demoted to Exiled user class.

Standard User Classes

Exiled : These users have damned AR's rules and no longer have access to our site/tracker. They are omitted from site statistics

   but can still be searched.

Mortal      : The default class for all new members. Welcome to AlphaRatio!
Privileges: Can use basic site functions plus can view and add bounty to requests, and has a personal RSS feed.

Philosopher      : Must have uploaded at least 80GB, accumulated 60,000 Seed Bonus Points and been a member for 4 Weeks.
Privileges: Mortal privileges plus can invite users, can upload and submit requests.

Gladiator          : Must have uploaded at least 260GB, accumulated 120,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's and been a member for 8 Weeks.
Privileges: Same as Philosopher privileges plus can use bookmarks, view top ten user/torrent stats.

Giant    : Must have uploaded at least 600GB, accumulated 360,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's and been a member for 12 Weeks.
Privileges: Same as Gladiator privileges plus can create polls in the forum.

Centaur      : Must have uploaded at least 1.6TB, accumulated 720,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's and been a member for 18 Weeks.
Privileges: Same as Giant privileges.

Sphinx       : Must have uploaded at least 3.2TB, accumulated 1,440,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's and been a member for 26 Weeks.
Privileges: Same as Centaur privileges, Access to Invite Forum.

Harpy    : Must have uploaded at least 6TB, accumulated 1,920,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's and been a member for 38 Weeks.
Privileges: Same as Sphinx privileges.

Satyr / Adonis       : Satyr: Must have uploaded at least 12TB, accumulated 2,400,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's and been a member for 60 Weeks.
Adonis: Must have uploaded at least 12TB, accumulated 2,000,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's, been a member for 60

Weeks and made an overall 50USD or higher in Donations.
Privileges: Same as Harpy privileges plus, exemption from hit and runs and can see other users active torrents.

Cyclops / Chimera   : Cyclops: Must have uploaded at least 18TB, accumulated 4,800,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's and been a member for 90 Weeks.
Chimera: Must have uploaded at least 18TB, accumulated 4,000,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's, been a member for 90

   Weeks and made an overall 200USD or higher in Donations.
  Privileges: Same as Satyr / Adonis privileges plus, ??.

Deity (VIP)         : Given by Staff at their discretion. Do NOT ask for this otherwise you will never be one.
Privileges: Same as Satyr privileges plus can send invites even when invites are closed.

Spartan (VIP 2)      : Must have uploaded at least 10TB, accumulated 6,200,000 Seed Bonus Points, have 0 HnR's , been a member for 120 Weeks

    and made an overall 400USD or more in Donations.
    Privileges: Same as Deity privileges.

Special User Classes

Demiurge        : AlphaRatio's Founders, users that supported the birth of AlphaRatio and continue to support on a monthly basis
Privileges: Same as Spartan privileges.

Olympian         : Our Dedicated Uploaders. They are a highly respected members of our community. If it was not for them you would

have nothing to download. Say thanks to them once in a while and try to be polite to them.

Oracle (TC) : Slaves of the Under World.

Staff Classes

Group Requirement / Privileges

Weaponsmiths : AlphaRatio's Developers. Please only contact them via StaffPM.

Cerberus : First-line support. These staff members moderate the forums and handle general questions on IRC

Hoplite   : Please direct all knowledge problems to them through a private message or in our IRC #help channel. The Hoplite

    team moderate/design the forums as well and any issues with the forums go to them. They have the power to warn users.

Titan : These are your senior moderators who are responsible for making the site nice and tidy. They have the ability to manage

   accounts/privileges, edit torrents and disable accounts. Please only contact them via StaffPM.

Demi-Gods   : Oversee the day to day running of AR to make sure everyone is pulling their weight. Only contact these users directly

if instructed to do so by another member of staff. Otherwise, use the StaffPM page.

Gods : The Immortal of Immortals. The site owner(s). Only contact these users directly if instructed to do so by Titan class staff or higher.

Listed below are the User Classes here at AnimeBytes along with their respective requirements and privileges. Users cannot be promoted if they have a warning or if the ratio cannot be calculated (indicated by --); this is intentional. Pruned torrents do not count towards the uploaded torrents requirement. Promotions and demotions can take up to a day but usually happen within a couple of hours. User class changes will also take some time to change on the forums and in comments due to the cache.

Aka-chan : The default class for new members.
Privileges: Can use the most basic features of the site.

Elite : Must have been a member for at least 1 month (30 days), uploaded at least 50 torrents, have at least 100GB of upload, and a ratio of at least

   0.8.
Privileges: Can access the Elite forum, can join #elite and can edit music group info, can view advanced Top 10 stats.

Torrent Master : Must have been a member for at least 3 months (90 days), uploaded at least 100 torrents, have at least 500GB of upload, and a ratio of at

   least 0.9.
Privileges: Can access the Torrent Master forum, moderate collages, send invites even when we are above the user limit, moderate

    screenshots and change their custom title for free in their profile settings.

If your ratio drops below the minimum required ratio for the user class you have reached, you will drop to the user class your ratio meets.

If you have over 20GB downloaded you are required to have a ratio above 0.300.

If you have over 50GB downloaded you are required to have a ratio above 0.400.

If you have over 100GB downloaded you are required to have a ratio above 0.500.

IF you have over 150GB downloaded you are required to have a ratio above 0.600.

If you have over 200GB downloaded you are required to have a ratio above 0.700.

Group Requirement

If a user no longer meets the requirements of their current user class, they will be demoted. Inactive accounts are removed after three months without

logging in, unless your user class is exempt or you have made a donation.

In order to be promoted, you must meet the following requirements:

Group   Privileges

  Peasant The demoted users have 30 days to increase the sharing rate, otherwise they will be kicked. Cannot publish the content of the fun box; Cannot apply for friendship link; Cannot upload subtitles.

  User The default level for new users. Seeds can only be released from 12 noon every Saturday to 11:59 PM every Sunday.

  Power User Get an invitation; you can publish the seed directly; you can view the NFO document; you can view the user list; you can request replanting; you can send an invitation; you can view the ranking list; you can view the seed history of other users (if the user privacy level is not set to " Strong"); You can delete subtitles uploaded by yourself.

  Elite User

Must be registered for at least 8 weeks, download at least 120G, and share rate greater than 1.55.

Must be registered for at least 15 weeks, download at least 300G, and share rate greater than 2.05.

Upscale : Users with a ratio below .45 & who downloaded more than 10 GB for 1 week (7 days) will be warned to correct their ratio.

For the user classes, promotion will happen automatically once you reach the minimum requirements. However, the promotion script only runs every couple hours so it may take some time before you're promoted once the minimum requirements have been met.

You cannot be promoted if you currently have a warning!

Note that in all cases spent bounty counts toward the uploaded requirement for promotion.

Passthepopcorn User Classes

If a user no longer meets the requirements of their current user class, they will be demoted. Inactive accounts are pruned after 3 months without logging in, unless their user class is exempt or they have donated.

To be promoted, you must:

Meet the minimum account age

Have the minimum number of uploads - Deleted or not-yet-checked uploads do not count towards promotions. Checking is done

manually, so it may take a considerable time before someone can get to your upload.

Not have an infinite ratio

Meet any other requirements, including upload and download amounts and minimum ratio

Wait at least 2 hours after satisfying the above conditions

Group Requirement / Privileges

User : The default class for new users.

   Privileges: Can upload and download torrents.

Member : Must have an account age of least a week, have at least 40 GiB of upload, and a ratio of at least .80.

Privileges: Can create requests. Can also hide username from peerlists with paranoia settings. Can also download

snatches from their profile in a zip file.

Power User (PU)          : Must have an account age of at least 4 weeks, have at least 80 GiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They

must also have at least 1 active torrent uploaded (Only checked torrents count towards promotions).
Privileges: Power Users have access to the Power User and Invite forums. They can access the on-site notifications

as well as the announce channels on IRC. Can also create new collections and edit existing ones. They are immune

to inactivity pruning.

Elite : Must have an account age of at least 10 weeks, have at least 500 GiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must also

have at least 50 active torrents uploaded.

Privileges: Can access the Elite forums. They may purchase invites from the bonus store.

Torrent Master (TM)      : Must have an account age of at least 16 weeks, have at least 1 TiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must also have

at least 200 active torrents uploaded.
Privileges: Can access the Torrent Master forums. They also receive 2 invites a month. (Limited at 4 invites)

Torrent King (TK)    : Must have an account age of at least 24 weeks, have at least 5 TiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must

also have at least 500 active torrents uploaded.
Privileges: These users are allowed to create personal collections to feature on their profiles. They're also given

the privilege of double posting in the forum. They have unlimited search and log results.

"Custom Class" (CC) : Must have an account age of at least 36 weeks, have at least 10 TiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They

must also have at least 1000 torrents uploaded.
Privileges: Choosing their own class title (subject to staff approval).
Notes: The promotion to this class isn't automatic, you must send a staff PM.

VIP   : These are users selected as being very important to the tracker by staff. You're all important, they're just very important.

Privileges: Access to the VIP forums and unlimited invites.

Torrent Celebrity (TC)    : Staff from other trackers who have been selected or approved by PTP staff.

First Line Support (FLS) : FLS handle general user support and common torrent reports.

Moderator (Mod) : There are two general teams of Moderators; Torrent Management and Account Management. Torrent Management

handle torrent checking, torrent reports, upload support, and anything else relating to torrents. Account Management

handle account violations, general account support, invite issues, and account security.

Developer (Dev)    : Developers maintain the code, database, tracker, and all the technical aspects that go along with running the site.

The table below lists all user classes available on PTM, ranked from high to low. For any promotion both the
stats requirement and the membership time requirement has to be met if applicable. All promotions and
demotion are automatic (except Celebrity and higher). Do not ask for promotions, do not feel bad for being demoted.

Probie: If you were demoted to Probie it is because you downloaded greater then 100GB without first uploading
at least 25GB. You need to hold or exceed a 0.25 ratio as a User to avoid Probie. Start small, large files are harder to seed back.

Currently there are limit in place for number of torrent you can download per day.

Group Limit

Newbie : 5 Torrents per 24 hours

Member : 30 Torrents per 24 hours

V.I.P : 50 Torrents per 24 hours

Leech : 1 Torrent per 168 hours (7 days)

The time reset is 24 hours from your earliest download.

The torrent download limit is in place to keep users from downloading too much without realizing they fall into Leech category.

Leecher   : This means you are not holding up your end of the agreement to be here and you have leeched your way

   into jail. You have been messaged by the system for the last 3 months to fix your HnRs and you did not.

You now cannot download, you cannot invite. Your only option is to donate.

Jailed : This means staff needs to speak with you. Check your messages.

User   : This is the first class that every member starts off with when they first join the site.

Power User : Has been a member for at least 27 days, have uploaded at least 50GB and have a ratio at or above 1.05

VIP   : Possible only via donations. - Read the donation page to see how long you will have this status. It DOES expire.

Uploader   : Can upload torrents on TD. Must be a Power User or above to apply for this position.

Forum Moderator   : This staff position monitors the forums, looking to help members and also make sure all members are

being nice and following the rules.

Torrent Moderators   : This staff position helps monitor the torrents and comments. They clean up some of the torrents with screens,

   etc and move them to the proper category when needed. They also monitor the comments to ensure there are

no spoilers posted and no bashing uploaders/groups/members/staff.

Moderator   : Can edit and delete any uploaded torrents. Can also moderate user comments and disable accounts.

Administrator      : Same as Moderator but can also promote staff.

How do you get promoted to the various user classes?
The Power User class is the only user class that is managed by the system. Once you meet the Power User requirements the system will auto promote you. All other classes are managed manually. TD does not require uploaders all the time and when we do we promote the users ourselves depending on the need.

What user classes are there, and how do i obtain them?

USER

This is the class everybody starts out with, basic rights, no special perks

ADVANCED USER

This is a class everybody can obtain.

The requirements are:

a minimum ratio of 1.0

a minimum of 100 GiB upload

the account must be minimum 30 days old

You get automatically demoted if your ratio goes below 0.50

POWER USER

This is a class everybody can obtain.

The requirements are:

a minimum ratio of 1.2

a minimum of 500 GiB upload

the account must be minimum 60 days old

You get automatically demoted if your ratio goes below 0.75

SUPER USER

This is a class everybody can obtain.

The requirements are:

a minimum ratio of 1.2

a minimum of 1000 GiB upload

the account must be minimum 120 days old

You get automatically demoted if your ratio goes below 1.00

VIP

The class of the wealthy, become one of TS's donors and this could be you.

Perks include: voice on the irc channel, exempt from ratio requirements, ???

UPLOADER

OTHER

User Classes

Promotions and demotions are recalculated periodically as a batch process multiple times per day subject to the criteria below. Note that, for demotions, upload (data transferred) will fall when you spend it on requests; uploads (number of torrents) falls when your torrents are removed for inactivity, trumps, or rule violations.

User

Default class for all new members.
Disabled after 90 days without logging in and browsing the site via web browser. Just seeding does not count as activity!

Power User

Promotion requirements:

Been a member for at least two weeks
A ratio of 1.05 or better
Either uploaded at least 10 GiB and 10 torrents or uploaded at least 1GiB and 100 torrents

Demotion requirements:

Ratio drops below 0.95
Either upload falls below 10GiB and 10 torrents or upload falls below 1GiB and 100 torrents

Permissions:

Create collections
Add torrents to collections (unless protected)
Access to the Power User and Invite forums
Exempt from inactivity disabling
Receives one invite on the 1st and 15th of every month (maximum of 2)

Elite

What are the different user classes?

User		The default class of new members.
Power User		These are members who are active and have a good ratio

VIP		Same privileges as Power User and is considered an Elite Member. Immune to automatic demotion.

Moderator		Can edit and delete any uploaded torrents. Can also moderate user comments and disable accounts.
Administrator		Can do just about anything.

How does this promotion thing work anyway?

Power User		Must have been be a member for at least 4 weeks, have uploaded at least 15GB and have a ratio at or above 1.05. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 0.95 at any time.

Peasant		The demoted users have 30 days to increase the sharing rate, otherwise they will be kicked. Cannot publish the content of the fun box; Cannot apply for friendship link; Cannot upload subtitles.
User		The default level for new users. Seeds can only be released from 12 noon every Saturday to 11:59 PM every Sunday.
Power User		Get an invitation; you can publish the seed directly; you can view the NFO document; you can view the user list; you can request replanting; you can send an invitation; you can view the ranking list; you can view the seed history of other users (if the user privacy level is not set to " Strong"); You can delete subtitles uploaded by yourself.
Elite User		Elite User and above users will not be deleted after the account is sealed.
Crazy User		Get two invitations; you can choose anonymous mode when seeding/downloading/publishing.
Insane User		You can view ordinary logs.
Veteran User		Get three invitations; you can view the comments and post history of other users. Veteran User and above users will always keep their accounts.

Nexus Master		Get ten invitations.
Star		The master who donated money to the website.
VIP		And Nexus Master with the same rights and are considered members of the elite. Exempt from automatic downgrade.
other		Custom level.
Retiree		Member of the management team after retirement.
Publisher (Uploader)		Dedicated publisher. Exempt from automatic downgrade; you can view the true identity of anonymous users.
Moderator		You can view the management group mailbox and report mailbox; manage the content of the fun box and voting content; you can edit or delete any published seeds; you can manage candidates; you can manage forum posts and user comments; you can view confidential logs; you can delete any subtitles; you can manage The code and history in the log; you can view the user's invitation record; you can manage the general information of the user account. Cannot manage friendship links, recent messages, forum sections; cannot set the seed to the top or promotion; cannot view confidential information such as user IP or Email; cannot delete the account.
Administrator		You can do anything except you can't change site settings and manage donations.
Maintenance Developer (Sysop)		Website developers/maintainers can change site settings but cannot manage donations.
