Isn't this a paid tracker, or is that classification too much? As per my understanding, all members who joined via Open Signup get Probationary Candidate rank.

"Eight weeks are given to get promoted to user class with required 20 GB upload, minimum ratio 0.6. Graduation from probation is finalized a by $10 verification fee to weed off collectors, resellers, trolls, and those who did not make up their mind."

Correct me If I am wrong. I hope this is not an elaborate scam. Let's wait and watch 🙂

I have seen that just now. You are right. It requires $10 fee to upgrade the rank. Kind of confused regarding what they are planning.

Update ::

Asian DVD Club - administrator explanation

Regarding open sign-up to Asian DVD Club. There is an extensive inaccurate information about ADC and me as an administrator. As an accomplished person I am not concerned about others comments and additionally value my privacy and will not be disclosing or discussing my education, background, character or any personal details. While I did not feel it is necessary to object facts interpretation and pure fiction, members and stuff convinced me that some clarifications is due especially to the well-being of the tracker.

The current Asian DVD Club was initiated by former ADC members to provide refuge to those enjoyed this tracker services until abrupt termination in 2020. It is a community group and not the traditional private tracker in the sense. Major difference is in the community everybody are not only able to participate but are required to.

Structurally attempt was to organize it in the most efficient way. Members are normally consist of passive participating, passive non-participating, pro-active non-uploading, pro-active uploading, enthusiasts with the unique content who only would like to share and do not need anything and finally those who would like to get something and give nothing in return, people who abuse the system. The last one is the majority. What I see as the key for ADC to be successful on all levels and also to be unique is to get rid of passive non-participating and those who abuse the system.

Although it sounds simple implementing that was actually big task but it is presently in place. That raised a lot of contradictions with the members who got used to idea of "everything is free" because it put the dilemma in front of them, do something or leave the place. And that was the origination of trolling that occurred by those who were unhappy as if they felt that something was stolen from them.

Our initial experience with the tracker had proven that even just 300 people can be more efficient and productive then the group with 10,000 members.

Another important part to consider is self-governance, instead of having one person to be in charge there's a group of people who participate in the tracker management. That helps to avoid to have a load on single person and at the same time to provide presentation of different opinions in the development for the future.

Financially all that it is required from members is about $20 one-time for hardware and $10 every 2-3 years for hosting. These are all our expenses, nothing else. To make something completely clear only 48 people ever provided funding for our tracker. Whatever it is or it is not necessary, decision is up to the members, third-party unrelated people barking at the wrong tree. If you would like to criticize something try US budget.

That is everything I will go public with regarding Asian DVD Club. There will be no response to the questions or comments on my part. If someone feels the urge to comment I do not discourage that although do not feel it is necessary. Whoever feels the need for the more detailed information or suspects that information provided is inaccurate can see it for himself/herself on our website.

I can confirm that at the present moment, members are being promoted to User Class from the Probationary class without the need to pay anything. It happens when the upload reaches 20 GB.

But In the next 8 weeks, the users need to download at 300 GB with a ratio of 0.61, or they will be demoted to Rookie. Rookie Class has 60 days to rise up the ranks to the user class. Inability to do so will result in dismissal.

That said, To stay in ADC without getting banned, users need to gain 300 GB download and have a ratio of at least 0.61 in the first few weeks. That's still a lot for users without the seedbox and may or may not be worth it.

Updates from Discord ::

I have to say, 483 members are being pro-active daily, about a thousand seeding. That means 1700 are not planning to stay with this tracker or have no idea that it is not a parking lot. As I said decision whenever this tracker will remain or disappear is up to the members. If you remain passive hoping others will do everything it will be your vote to the tracker future.

No one is being forced to be a member here, this place exist solely for your benefit only. But it will not be like ACM (asian cinema) where half of the members are sleep walkers and exist only for member count.

Can not force a fortune on anybody, they always have a right to refuse. Some prefer to be sick and poor instead of rich and healthy, should respect that choice too.

TRACKER WILL BE CLOSING AFTER ALL

My one and only goal was restoration of Asian DVD Club, not creation of new tracker. But it appears that bringing ADC back to life is an impossible task after all, only small fraction of original members are available and they do not carry majority of the torrents. Out of more that 50,000 torrents of Asian DVD Club less then 5,000 are within reach but they are recent and available on other trackers. Multiple other factors also made it difficult even to attempt to bring it to life. Using ADC the words "legacy" or "inheritance" just lead to appearance of totally unrelated trackers with different agendas, act, behavior and appearance that only use ADC name. Trolling has became a normal state of conduct, a lot of users taken being unanimous on the Internet equivalent to lawlessness and outrageous behavior. That totally contradicts ADC spirit in general that was self sufficient and not interested in other trackers acts. Tracker with ambitious individual owners like Jinsol of Korean tracker Asian Cinema (ACM) instead of supporting appearance of group willing to restore ADC was seeing it as competitor although it was completely different by structure and organization, not to mention appearance and did everything in it's power to kill the effort with underhanded and dirty methods. Result is where we are now, as I am convinced that Asian DVD Club has disappeared in the past, no other place can possibly replace it because it's gone for good. As previously announced attempt to restore ADC will halt people looking for recent releases can check other trackers. But there are no places with unique content anymore and it is certainly not Korean tracker Asian Cinema. Best wishes to all.

Wow. I just found this post and that the tracker went live and I am already to late.  I have thousands of ADC downloads I wanted to help getting live again. Sigh

You are too late. Up to the part of tracker going up, you are right. But the tracker has closed again due to less response, and now the discord server is deleted as well. Please read all the above updates to get clarity on the situation. AsianDVDClub is no more.

Kind regards,
