There is fresh speculation that a sequel to Marvel’s Spider Man is currently in the works after Spider-Man: Miles Morales Nadji Jeter star teased a shot of his mo-cap work online. Marvel’s Spider-Man became one of the most beloved PlayStation 4 titles after its release in 2018, with several outlets calling it one of the best superhero games ever made. Its lasting appeal has left many hoping for more PlayStation titles set in Peter Parker’s web-slinging playground of New York City.

Sony has seen great success with its Spider-Man console entries. Following Marvel’s Spider-Man, which has surpassed 20 million sales globally since its release, Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released as a PlayStation 5 launch title in December 2020. While considerably shorter than its PS4 predecessor, Spider-Man: Miles Morales went on to win scores of fans, with the most recent sales figures revealing that is has outsold Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us 2. With these impressive figures, another entry to the Marvel’s Spider-Man series would not be at all surprising.

Now, the internet may have been given a first look at a potential sequel's development. Spider-Man: Miles Morales actor Nadji Jeter recently shared an Instagram post of himself in a mo-cap suit. This post was quickly removed by Jeter, but not before eagle eyed fan ErfanManavi screenshotted it and shared it again on Twitter, responding to Screen Rant's own Cade Onder. Jeter's selfie shows him in full mo-cap as a makeup artist applies tracking dots to his face. In the caption, the actor quips “can’t do nuttin around her” with a laughing emoji.

While this is potentially very exciting for Spider-Man and Miles Morales fans, it must be stressed that at this point, the sequel’s existence is all speculative. Developer Insomniac Games has not officially revealed that any work is currently in production for a hypothetical Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, the swift removal of the post by Jeter does allude to something going on in Spider-Man’s world, if not potentially sensitive information about another game or project he could be appearing in. It remains to be seen if the actor now decides to explain the post and its removal, or if he'll just the potential slip-up and move on.

Regardless of what it all does or doesn't mean for Marvel’s Spider-Man’s potential sequel, it is great to see Jeter back in a mo-cap suit. His portrayal of Miles Morales won the actor many nominations for his work on Spider-Man: Miles Morales, so whatever project he is currently working on is bound to pique industry interest when the time comes for a ultimate reveal.
