Fear the Walking Dead season 7 and The Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 will premiere in October. The main series The Walking Dead premiered on AMC in October 2010 and quickly became one of the biggest shows on television. In August 2015, the spin-off Fear the Walking Dead was released, created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson. While the first three seasons act as a prequel, the rest of the seasons take place at the same time as the main series. The story starts by focusing on a blended family moving through the zombie apocalypse, although it evolves past that in later seasons. A seventh season was announced back in December 2020.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond is another spin-off, which originally premiered in October 2020. Created by Scott M. Gimple and Matthew Negrete, the plot is set ten years after the zombie apocalypse has taken place. The series acts as a coming-of-age story for a group of teenagers who are simultaneously dealing with the apocalypse. The first season consists of ten episodes, with a second season of World Beyond having been previously announced to also include ten episodes.

The Comic-Con International YouTube channel posted panels for both Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond today. Moderated by Chris Hardwick, the panels both had some big news regarding release dates. Fear the Walking Dead season 7 will premiere on October 17, while The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere on October 3. However, subscribers of AMC+ will be able to access episodes of both shows early through the bundle. Goldberg: "We are very happy to announce that the season 7 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead will be Sunday, October 17th at 9/8c on AMC. We'll be premiering our first 8 episodes and if you're a fan who can't wait that long, there will be new episodes premiering early on AMC+ all season, so look for them there. We're very excited."

Gimple: "Walking Dead: World Beyond season 2 premiere October 3rd! Mark those calendars! Then, after that, 11 o'clock, Talking Dead. So, you got Walking Dead before you got World Beyond, you got Talking Dead all October 3rd. Tune in! And then, if you want to watch it early, AMC+.

It was previously announced that there will be a two-part premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead season 11 on August 24, but will premiere on August 15 for AMC+ subscribers. There's plenty of content in this zombie apocalyptic universe coming down the pipeline in Fall 2021. Since they are all accessible early through the AMC+ bundle, that certainly increases the value of having the bundle to watch these series a bit early to ensure that nothing gets spoiled.

With both Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond premiering their new seasons in October, it's clear that they're setting up audiences for the Halloween viewing season. While this will surely excite fans of the overall franchise, it may also prove to be a lot to watch for more casual viewers.
