She-Hulk Star Says She Has One More Month Of Filming

She-Hulk star Jameela Jamil shares a GIF and caption on Twitter to mark one more month of filming for the upcoming MCU Disney+ series. The actress has been occasionally updating her followers on her training progress after she announced her involvement in the series.

Rumors of Jamil being cast as She-Hulk’s rival Titania had been circulating for some time, but in July, Jamil confirmed she'd been cast in the project with the release of a stunt video, though she didn't mention who she'd be playing. Joining her in the Marvel 2022 production is Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, from the Avengers movies, Tim Roth returning as Abomination/Emil Blonsky, and Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black in the lead role. Filming for the television series has been ongoing since April 2021, and though it’s unknown when they will wrap production, it’s clear Jamil is preparing to say goodbye to her character for now.

Jameela Jamil posted a GIF to her Twitter profile on July 24, and a caption that briefly mentioned she was in her final four weeks of filming. Within that caption, she stated that she was going to be without musician James Blake, her partner of six years, and her roommates for the next month. She joked of her independence, boasting about being able to eat takeout just for herself, and sing and dance in the shower without anyone knowing. Check out her post below:

Jamil’s post doesn’t necessarily indicate that she’s mourning the end of her filming, but rather taking full advantage of her final few weeks alone. Despite the joy in her text, the GIF of an unruly cat suggests that she’s feeling quite fatigued and is, perhaps, ready for a break from the rigorous training and pressure of portraying a popular Marvel comic villain. Her rumored character, Titania, is known for rivaling the Hulk in strength, so Jamil has surely had to work hard on her combat skills. As the presumed main antagonist, by referencing her filming obligations coming to an end in a month’s time, it can only be assumed that Marvel Studios has almost wrapped the entire ten episodes.

Once Marvel has finished filming She-Hulk, they will move on to several of their other upcoming titles. They may also be able to supply fans with a release date on Disney+ soon. For Jamil, she may be able to experience some downtime after filming before her next project comes along.
