A new video clip from The Suicide Squad shows Harley Quinn, King Shark, Polka-Dot Man, and other members of the team coming face to face with Starro. The upcoming DCEU film is directed by James Gunn and stars an ensemble cast including Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Peter Capaldi, Nathan Fillion, and Jai Courtney. The Suicide Squad is scheduled to release in the U.S. on August 5, simultaneously in theaters and for streaming on HBO Max.

As he did in the MCU with Guardians of the Galaxy, Gunn is pulling some more obscure DC characters into the spotlight in The Suicide Squad. That includes team members like the limb-removing T.D.K. (Fillion), the brilliant Savant (Michael Rooker), and the beastly Weasel (Sean Gunn). It also includes Starro, the gigantic, kaiju-esque alien starfish that serves as the primary antagonist of the film. First introduced by DC Comics in 1960, Starro has stuck around in various capacities through the decades, but never on such a big stage as The Suicide Squad.

In a new clip shared by Bloody Disgusting, Harley Quinn and other members of the Suicide Squad come face to face with Starro. Some parts of the clip have been glimpsed in earlier trailers, but the new video reveals the moment the monstrous villain breaks free of his subterranean prison to unleash chaos on all those around him. Even Harley, who’s seen her fair share of crazy things over the years, looks shocked to see the monster appear. Check out the latest clip from The Suicide Squad below.

Like the trailers, the new video does a good job of hiding a full-on look at Starro, clearly saving the official reveal for fans who see the film on release. But even with only parts of the beast being shown at a time, the sheer scale and power of Starro is made eminently clear. James Gunn has promised that plenty of the titular team’s members will die over the course of the movie, and it’s likely that a couple of those deaths will come at the hands of Starro.

Of course, Harley Quinn seems like she at least should be safe through to The Suicide Squad’s credits. As one of the DCEU’s most popular characters, it would be an odd decision for Warner Bros. to kill off Robbie’s version of Harley just as the franchise is getting back on its feet. King Shark and Polka-Dot Man, however? They might not be so lucky. Who lives and who dies will be revealed when The Suicide Squad releases on August 5.
