The cameraman on set of The Flash movie was not seriously injured in the recent Batcycle accident that occurred. After being stuck in development for years, a solo movie centered on the Scarlet Speedster finally entered production earlier this year. The film’s script is from DC veteran Christina Hodson, who previously penned Birds of Prey and is currently working on the upcoming Batgirl film. Known for the It movies, Andy Muschietti is taking the reins as director.

This will be Ezra Miller’s third or fourth DCEU appearance as Barry Allen, depending on how one counts the two Justice League movies. After a cameo in Batman v Superman, Barry Allen featured prominently in the 2017 team-up Justice League and subsequent Snyder Cut, the latter of which actually provided some setup for The Flash movie, introducing his love interest Iris West (Kiersey Clemons). Set photos have showcased much of the cast, including Sasha Calle in costume as Supergirl and Ben Affleck who will be reprising his role as Bruce Wayne (along with Michael Keaton). Although, it’s the Caped Crusader’s signature motorcycle that has caused some unexpected issues on set.

An incident took place on The Flash movie set in Glasgow yesterday when a camera operator crashed into the Batcycle being ridden by a stunt double. The stuntman seems to be fine, but the cameraman was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, causing production to be put on hold. While there were no initial details regarding his condition, Variety is now reporting that the crew member received immediate medical attention, but did not suffer any serious injuries. Warner Bros. released a statement on the incident to the press, which can be read below:

An accident occurred while filming The Flash, where thankfully nobody was seriously hurt. The crew member involved received immediate medical attention as a matter of protocol. We take the well-being of all our employees seriously and have strict health and safety procedures in place on all productions.

It’s unclear how long filming had to be halted, but given that the injury wasn’t serious, it shouldn't have been long and it should in no way affect the film’s scheduled release in November 2022. Oddly enough, the accident on The Flash set occurred around the same time as another highly publicized incident on the set of Better Call Saul where Bob Odenkirk suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. It has since been announced that Odenkirk is also expected to be okay.

Movie-making can sometimes be a dangerous endeavor, especially when stunts are involved. Given Batman’s role in the film, there are bound to be more scenes involving Affleck's Batcycle, which will likely now be approached with extra caution. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured during this incident and hopefully, The Flash can finish the rest of production safely.
