Silk Sonic's new summertime jam "Skate" has topped this week's new music poll.

Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (July 30) on Billboard, choosing the second song from Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s collaborative project as their favorite new music release of the past week.

The duo's uptempo, beach-ready single brought in 57% of the vote, beating out new music by Billie Eilish (Happier Than Ever), Pop Smoke and Dua Lipa ("Demeanor" video), Bleachers (Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night), Darren Criss ("For a Night Like This"), and others.

Silk Sonic Gets the Groove Going With 'Skate': Watch

Mars and .Paak came together earlier this year for “Leave The Door Open,” a warm and fuzzy tune that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Since then, Silk Sonic has showed its stuff onstage at the Grammy Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and BET Awards.

“Skate” turns “Leave The Door Open’s” smooth retro-soul flavor down the dial toward the disco station, with fluttering strings and breezy come-ons (“You smell better than a barbecue!”) locating an effect similar to Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox hit “Treasure.”

Silk Sonic's debut studio album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, is said to be on the way.

Placing second on the past week's tally with more than 32% of the vote was Eilish's sophomore album, Happier Than Ever, the follow-up to her critically acclaimed studio debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? On the new set, the 19-year-old star offers a deep dive into her psyche, making a point of prodding at that world, and analyzing societal norms and power dynamics.
