Recent photos of Kirsten Dunst and Andrew Garfield have fueled casting speculation for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and started more speculation about Daredevil's involvement. Marvel Studios and Sony have officially revealed very little about the third Spider-Man solo film starring Tom Holland's Peter Parker. However, the movie has been the subject of potentially huge leaks and rumors. The film officially is bringing back core supporting characters from the previous MCU films, as well as the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.

The cast list for Spider-Man: No Way Home is rumored to be much larger than this, though. Alfred Molina confirmed early reports that he'll be back as Spider-Man 2's Doc Ock, with Jamie Foxx confirming (and then deleting) his return as Electro after The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The rumors for the movie include Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire returning as their past non-MCU versions of Spider-Man. Both of their love interests, Emma Stone's Gwen Stacey and Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane, have been rumored too. To complicate matters even further, previous incarnations of Green Goblin, Sandman, Lizard, and Rhino might appear, while Daredevil star, Charlie Cox, is even rumored to appear as Matt Murdock.

With so many rumors, actor denials, and no trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, it can be difficult to parse through what is really going on with the movie. Now a series of photos are circulating online that have only fueled speculation of how the movie connects to previous Spider-Man franchises and Daredevil. It started with a photo of Kirsten Dunst walking with a masked-up female as she went to Sunset Gowers Studios. Fans quickly began speculating that the other woman she was with was Daredevil actress, Deborah Ann Woll. Meanwhile, Tom Holland has been spotted in Los Angeles, where Spider-Man: No Way Home reshoots/additional photography is believed to be taking place. Andrew Garfield was also recently spotted in the area, leading fans to jump to the conclusion that Dunst and Garfield's roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home was highly probable, with Woll's surprise appearance revealing her involvement and strengthening the chances of Cox appearing. Each of the photos can be seen below, along with Woll's denial that she is the woman pictured with Dunst.

Woll confirming that she is not the woman in the picture with Dunst is one of many reasons why fans should be careful to get too excited about Spider-Man: No Way Home based on these photos alone. Holland, Garfield, and Dunst very well could all be in Los Angeles at the same time for completely different reasons, as there is no evidence that Holland and Garfield also reported to Sunset Gowers Studios. These photos were also taken days apart, with Holland's sighting happening on August 3, while the Dunst photos are from July 30. It would also be quite unlike Marvel to let top talent like this be out and about during reshoots, much less having them go get their own lunch (in Dunst's case). Meanwhile, Woll's lack of involvement leaves the likelihood of Cox's canceled convention appearance being because of Spider-Man: No Way Home unclear.

This isn't to say that Garfield, Dunst, and other actors heavily rumored won't appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. They very well could - and likely will - be seen in the highly anticipated blockbuster. But, if Marvel managed to make it through production without set photos of any of these rumored multiverse-based co-stars for Holland, it seems unlikely that reshoots would be the portion of production where they slip up so many times. Now, fans will have to decide for themselves whether or not to buy into the current Spider-Man: No Way Home speculation.
