GTA Online Player Turns A Ridiculous Jump Into An Incredible Parking Job

Grand Theft Auto Online has become the virtual playground of choice for would-be daredevils, and one fearless player has just parked himself perfectly after a wild jump off a cliff. Fans of Rockstar’s open-world crime sandbox have been channeling their inner Evel Knievel to perform mid-air jet heists, physics-defying jumps over trains, and even one instance where a player drove their Batmobile-like Vigilante car up the side of a skyscraper like something out of the old Adam West Batman show.

There have been plenty of other crazy hijinks in Grand Theft Auto Online, either caused by random glitches or as the direct result of player actions, like starting a month-long alien turf war or attempting to smoke and drive at the same time. All throughout the fictional world of Los Santos, characters have swum through the water like mermaids after falling off an airplane, wound up caught in a helicopter crash while trying to take the perfect selfie in GTA Online, and discovered a van that spawns infinite members of the notorious Lost MC biker gang. Now, one player has invented an exciting - albeit dangerous - new way to find a good parking space in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Earlier this week, Reddit user asaru95 posted a gameplay video of a wild stunt to r/GTAOnline, showing a muscle car driving up the side of a cliff. The vehicle then jackknifes into the air and lands in a perfect position between two parked cars after a few hard rolls on the pavement below. It seems to be banged up pretty badly, but the driver soon steps out completely unharmed.

Such crazy antics are growing all the more common in Grand Theft Auto Online thanks to a few recent vehicle-based gameplay modes added by Rockstar over the past few months. Starting in July, players have been able to engage in Fast And The Furious-style street races to go with the existing stunts and challenges - as well as customize their own souped-up muscle cars and chat with other players in a new social hub. Another update from earlier this week took things further by introducing GTA Online’s new Kart Krash: Full Auto mode, which is basically Mario Kart with guns.

Asaru95’s new mid-air method might not be the safest way to pull off that tricky parallel park, but it’s still impressive to see someone pulling off such a physics-defying stunt in GTA Online and walk away with just a banged-up ride. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year, Grand Theft Auto Online has become the go-to online haven for players and wannabe stuntmen to pull off the seemingly impossible, meaning that anything can happen in the city of Los Santos - and neither fans nor Rockstar Games would have it any other way.
