During the GamesRadar-hosted Future Games Show for gamescom, Coatsink Software announced Jurassic World Aftermath Part 2, a VR sequel scheduled to launch at the end of next month. Developer Coatsink Software partnered with publisher Oculus Studios to release the first Jurassic World Aftermath in December 2020, providing a dinosaur-filled VR stealth experience. Though it's been less than a year since Aftermath's launch, the companies already have another adventure primed for release.

The Future Games Show presentation hosted by GamesRadar featured a surprise from Coatsink, with the developer announcing Jurassic World Aftermath Part 2 and confirming a 2021 release date. Jurassic World fans can jump into the cell-shaded VR sequel in just a few short weeks on September 30 for Oculus devices, according to a reveal trailer shared during gamescom 2021. Like its predecessor, Aftermath Part 2 will pack in puzzle-solving gameplay and tense stealth mechanics that tasks players with carefully navigating environments inhabited by dinosaurs like the T-Rex.

Jurassic World Aftermath Part 2 to generally middling reviews, though most acknowledged the potential hidden within. Hopefully, Coatskin found a way to expand upon the original foundation and smooth out the rougher edges.

The upcoming VR title isn't the only reason Jurassic World is the talk of the town during gamescom week. Yesterday, August 25, Frontier Developments announced a November 9 street date for Jurassic World Evolution 2, which will launch across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
