Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta Available Now for PS4, PS5 Pre-Order Owners

September is turning out to be a huge month for PlayStation fans. Recently, gamers were treated to the PlayStation Showcase which revealed a number of new projects in development such as Insomniac Games' new Wolverine title. On top of all the new reveals, PlayStation fans have a lot more to look forward to over the rest of the month as many players will be able to jump into Call of Duty: Vanguard for the first time.

The newest installment in the franchise, Call of Duty: Vanguard looks to give players an immersive first-person shooter set during World War 2. In addition to a new campaign centered around the creation of the Special Forces, players have new Operators and weapons to discover. While the game doesn’t release until November 5, the developers are hosting a group of upcoming betas for players to participate in.

The first of these betas is available for PS4 and PS5 players as part of PlayStation Early Access. And there's good news for those wanting to play the game, as the beta is live now. Open to all PS4 and PS5 players that have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Vanguard, this first beta runs until Monday, September 13 at 10 AM PT.

Fortunately for those that didn't pre-order, the developers are running a second beta from Thursday, September 16 at 10 AM PT until Monday, September 20 at 10 AM PT. In addition to lasting a longer period of time, this second beta is available to all PlayStation players and those that pre-ordered on Xbox and PC. However, the beta opens up to all platforms regardless of pre-order status on Saturday, September 18.

While the game already hosted a closed alpha that ran from August 27-29, these new betas include more modes for players to check out such as Champion Hill, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Patrol. In addition, those who play in either of the betas and achieve level 20 earn a bonus Weapon Blueprint to use when the full game launches.

Besides these upcoming betas, there’s been a lot of other news regarding the Call of Duty franchise. A few days ago, the developer gave players a first look at the new Pacific map coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. This new location looks to spice up the action, as players have been playing on Verdansk, the current map, since the battle royale launched last year. The new Pacific map trades the war-torn streets of the previous for a lush tropical island similar to a map in PUBG.
