About six years after the last main series Halo game, Halo Infinite is beginning its approach for fans to sink their teeth into. While there has been a lot of speculation about Halo Infinite with specific game modes, gamers have luckily had some clarity about how the game is turning out with the tech preview at the end of July.

The company plans to run two more tests on Halo Infinite on the upcoming weekends before launch. The purpose of these tests is to experiment with the handling capacity of the company's backend servers and online services. Additionally, 343 Industries will continue looking for player feedback and fixing any additional bugs.

In a blog post on Halowaypoint.com, 343 announced that Halo Infinite testing would take place on the weekends of September 23rd - 26th and September 3th - October 3rd. These tests will now emphasize social arenas where players fight against each other, with playtimes only occurring at 10 am - 2 pm PT and 5 pm - 9 pm PT.

One of the new game modes that fans can try out is the Training Mode. This mode allows gamers to practice different skills and play solo sessions against bots on any Arena map. Additionally, gamers will have access to Bot Arenas in Halo Infinite again, this time with improved AI from all the data gathered from the last tech preview. On top of that, Weapon Drills will be making a return with a more extensive list of weapons, including;

- MA40 AR

- BR75

- MK50 Sidekick

- CQS48 Bulldog

- Needler

- VK78 Commando

- S7 Sniper

- Plasma Pistol

- Pulse Carbine

- Ravager

- Heatwave

- Skewer

- Shock Rifle

A new social mode available for the second week of testing is the Big Team Battle. This mode is where gamers will be placed in two teams of 12 and face off against each other in different game types. On October 1st, gamers can play Capture the Flag in Halo Infinite on the Fragmentation map. On October 2nd, Gamers can play both Capture the Flag and Total Control on the Fragmentation map. And on October 3rd, gamers can play Capture The Flag, Total Control, and Slayer on the Fragmentation map.

343 Industries encourages gamers participating in the tech previews to answer the surveys so that the company can make the game better for everyone. Participants should receive links to the surveys in their email inboxes. There will be two distinct types of surveys. Any feedback on game design and weapon balance should report to the Halowaypoint website. In contrast, feedback on technical issues and bugs should be brought up on the Halo Support site.

Halo Infinite releases on December 8th for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
