Enola Holmes 2 will bring back fan-favorite Tewkesbury. Last fall, Netflix released Enola Holmes, starring Millie Bobbie Brown (Stranger Things) as the title character. Based on the novels by Nancy Springer, Enola Holmes follows the younger, rebellious sister of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft Holmes, who becomes ensnared in solving the mystery of their missing mother (Helena Bonham Carter). Earlier this year, Netflix revealed that an Enola Holmes sequel was in the works, and Brown and Cavill would reprise their roles.

Netflix announced at the inaugural fan event TUDUM that Enola Holmes 2 will feature the return of the character Tewkesbury, played by Louis Partridge. Playing a vital role in Enola Holmes as Enola’s potential love interest and fellow-fugitive, Tewkesbury (spelled “Tewksbury” in the novels) quickly became a fan favorite after joining forces with the titular character. Check out the clip of Brown and Partridge announcing Tewkesbury’s return below:

Directed by Harry Bradbeer, Enola Holmes tackled the events from the first book of Springer’s series, entitled The Case of the Missing Marquess. Of course, it’s plausible that Enola Holmes 2 could focus on Springer’s second Enola Holmes novel, The Cast of the Left-Handed Lady. However, since there are six books in the series, Netflix will likely opt to combine Enola’s adventures from the novels and wrap up the films with a third and final installment.

Of course, the return of Tewkesbury for Enola Holmes 2 could come as a surprise for fans of the book series, as Lord Tewksbury does not make an appearance after the first novel. Indeed, Brown and Partridge had potent chemistry in Enola Holmes and could deliver more spellbinding scenes in the sequel. For now, it remains to be seen how Enola Holmes 2 writer, Jack Throne, will formulate Tewkesbury into Enola’s next adventure. Netflix has yet to set a release date for the highly-anticipated Enola Holmes 2.
