Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Players Want Randomized Finishers

Some Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players want the ability to randomize which finishers they see in matches. As Call of Duty has evolved, personalization has become a bigger and bigger feature that many players have come to appreciate. Adding this feature to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War could be another thing to help players personalize their experience into exactly what they want.

A Redditor with the username Daltax_ suggested the feature and even claimed that it would not be difficult to implement. The Redditor came to this conclusion by stating that the game already has a similar customization feature for its Operators. Players are able to select a “random” option when picking their playable character, and Daltax_ claims that with a little work, the feature could be fairly easily applied to finishers as well. Some fans joked that Black Ops Cold War should fix its camo bugs before moving on to such a feature, but there does seem to be interest in the idea.

Daltax_ also suggests that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players should be able to use a filter to pick the finishers they want. At the start of a match, the game would randomly select one of the filtered finishers for the duration of the match. Some players were big fans of the suggestion, as one even demonstrated appreciation for the variety it would offer players.

Call of Duty needs to rethink its strategy to keep players engaged. Though this feature may not get rolled out for Black Ops Cold War, many players expressed interest in seeing it implemented in future installments. Some fans on the Reddit thread even suggested the feature make an appearance in the upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Players most likely just want confirmation that their voices are being heard. After all, Call of Duty fans often make it known what they want, and this feature would clearly be something that many players would benefit from. While it may seem like a simple task, though, commenters in the thread were quick to point out that seemingly small changes to games can create a large amount of work for developers. Various aspects of game development that seem simple are actually much more complicated that many gamers know.

Still, it seems that players just want more customization options. Black Ops Cold War arguably has bigger fan requests, like balance changes, but players still seem to be suggesting more customization options because that is what makes their experience more enjoyable. Even if the feature does not see life in the current Call of Duty game, many would clearly like to see it somewhere down the line.
