It's been well over half a year now since IO Interactive released Hitman 3 to the public, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the game is finished or the developer is done growing. In fact, in a recent stream, IOI has confirmed that the team working on the game has been going through some positive change lately, with some special surprises expected to coming in the form of Hitman 3 DLC in the future.

From that recent IOI Insider Stream, Communications Manager Travis Barbour spoke on what is happening behind the scenes at IOI. This included everything from when some titles in the trilogy go on sale to the state of DLC development on Hitman 3 moving forward. While Barbour couldn't speak specifically on certain aspects of development, such as exactly what the DLC roadmap will be beyond what players are already aware of, he did have something interesting to say about the team's size.

Specifically, when commenting on the develpment team working on new content like Hitman 3's Seven Deadly Sins DLC, Barbour commented that there are more developers on staff now than there were a few months ago. So, IOI likely has more hands on deck with the further development of the ongoing Hitman DLC project (known internally as Hitman 3 Live) than they did when opporations first swapped over. The stream didn't go over the exact numbers for the development team, but Barbour did make specific mention that the current plan is to have even more content rolling out next year beyond the currently planned DLC.

Towards the end of the stream, questions from chat also started to turn the conversation towards what types of positions were available at IOI for other developers currently looking for work. With the several projects that the developer has going beyond the post-launch content for Hitman 3, it looks like IOI is still looking to continue growing, offering several positions across every department in multiple studio locations. There was also mention of an unannounced project that the developer is currently working on, but Barbour couldn't go into further detail about what exactly that might be in the stream.

Considering that Hitman 3 launched with all levels unlocked, with several being reworked into the Seven Deadly Sins expansions and other additional content, the post-release roadmap is very different from what it had been before. After having already launched two different games with differing content strategies, it isn't too much of a surprise that changes have also been made behind the scenes. Still, this much staff could mean that the next wave of DLC for Hitman 3 could be bigger than some fans might have already expected.

Hitman 3 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
