Dave Bautista tracks down a picture of the broken nose he sustained during a stunt fight with Daniel Craig while filming Spectre. Though much of the conversation surrounding Craig's time as James Bond has lately revolved around his final outing, No Time to Die, there's been a fair amount of nostalgic looks backward at Spectre. The previous 007 installment debuted in 2015 to mixed reviews and, though few might've guessed it at the time, teed up No Time to Die through characters like Blofeld (Christoph Waltz) and Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux). Nevertheless, Spectre is one of the less well-received installments of Craig's Bond era.

Most recently, Spectre has been in the news because of a fight scene that went down between Craig and Dave Bautista. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor made his 007 debut in Spectre as an assassin known as Mr. Hinx. Bautista got to show off his action prowess in some fight sequences with Craig, and during one of them, Craig broke his nose. In a recent interview, Craig recalled the moment when it happened, saying he ran away in fear. Not long after, though, Bautista took to social media to clear things up: Yes, Craig broke his nose on Spectre, but he didn't run away after. He did yell a lot, though.

There's no hard feelings between the two actors, and Bautista has even pulled out a selfie from Spectre after he broke his nose. "I dug this up. I took this right after I got cleaned up," he wrote with a laugh-crying emoji. Fans might be hard pressed to see the full extent of the damage, though Bautista does have a new bruise on his nose. Bautista and Craig still got along swimmingly after the Spectre incident, and they will soon reunite for Knives Out 2. Craig will reprise his fan favorite gentleman sleuth, Benoit Blanc, while Bautista joins the new ensemble as an unknown character. So much of Knives Out 2 remains a mystery, but perhaps the two will get to engage in some fisticuffs once again. Hopefully, there were no broken noses this time.

Spectre may not be incredibly beloved by Bond fans, but No Time to Die is pulling in excellent reviews. Craig signs off for good with this one, and by all accounts, it appears to be a fitting ending. Bautista, meanwhile, has not returned for this new installment, but he too has a major movie arriving in the coming weeks with Denis Villeneuve's Dune. It's rather funny to consider how Craig and Bautista had such a memorable experience on Spectre and now are about to have two of the biggest movies of 2021 within mere weeks of each other. Good thing that broken nose situation turned out alright.
