The upcoming and official third Ghostbusters sequel, Ghostbusters: Afterlife has released a line of shoes from Reebok that bring Stay Pufts to your feet. The new Jason Reitman film has had its release date repeatedly delayed, with the most recent setback switching up Afterlife’s November release from the 11th to the 19th. Despite these somewhat consistent interruptions, excitement over the sequel continues to grow among its fanbase.

As far as sequels to major franchises go, public opinion surrounding Afterlife was originally a little reluctant. Ever since Ghostbusters II arrived in 1989, the idea that a third entry in the supernatural comedy series would eventually arrive unwittingly turned into a decades long wait for fans. When news finally began to circulate in 2014 that a new Ghostbusters entry was on its way, reports that the film would be a reboot didn’t go over particularly well with many. After all was said and done, what 2016’s Ghostbusters: Answer the Call ended up being was a female-led reboot that ultimately didn’t find the success that the previous two entries did. However, what’s been seen so far of Ghostbusters: Afterlife has proven enticing, especially its glimpses of one of the franchise’s most beloved villains: the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Long remembered for his brief but significant terrorizing of New York City in the first film’s finale, the character has come to represent everything Ghostbusters. In preparation for Afterlife’s release, Reebok has introduced a line of Ghostbusters- inspired shoes. Images of the new footwear (which officially arrives October 13th) can be seen courtesy of the Sole Links Twitter account, with four different Ghostbusters shoes on display and a fifth pair visible after clicking the tweet’s link. The highlight of the group, however, is arguably the pair that references Stay Puft, officially called Zig Kinetica – Grade School. Check them out below:

Judging by comments left at the Sole Links account, not everyone is in love with the line of shoes. The Zig Kineticas do appear to be the fan favorite so far, and that’s understandable, considering that they offer plenty of imagery of Stay Puft as well as the famed Ghostbusters logo. As previously mentioned, the return of Stay Puft has all but been promised in Afterlife, though how the character returns is currently unknown. One scene in particular showed Paul Rudd dealing with a particularly pesky group of mini-Stay Pufts, leading to conjecture that this time around, Stay Puft will have the ability to breakdown into a widespread challenge.

Regardless of how the film plays out with regard to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, this new line of shoes provides fans with yet another unique collectible of one of the series’ most enduring characters. Paying homage to certain classic films through shoes has recently found its way to a new horror movie collection from Vans as well as a collection from Adidas for legendary TV sitcom, The Simpsons. This Ghostbusters: Afterlife collection from Reebok may not quite have the same appeal as those other lines, but it’s not often that Ghostbusters fans have the chance to strap on footwear that honors one of cinema’s most bizarre villains.
