Halloween Kills producer Ryan Freimann says that he would love to bring Michael Myers' niece back to the franchise. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers established that Laurie Strode had a daughter named Jamie Lloyd. Michael Myers' was Laurie Strode's brother in the original Halloween continuity, making Jamie his niece. Danielle Harris played Jamie in Halloween 4 and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers before J.C. Brandy made a brief appearance as the character in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

David Gordon Green's current Halloween trilogy has been praised partly because Jamie Lee Curtis returned as Laurie Strode. 2018's movie also brought back Nick Castle, who played The Shape in John Carpenter's original movie, for a single scene. Paying homage to past movies has gone over well with fans of the franchise, and Halloween Kills is bringing back a ton of characters from the original Halloween. Kyle Richards is returning as Lindsey Wallace, Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion Chambers, and Charles Cypher as Sheriff Leigh Brackett. Tommy Doyle is also returning for the sequel, although franchise newcomer Anthony Michael Hall is playing him.

Halloween Kills will have plenty of familiar faces, but Freimann revealed to Comicbook that he would love to bring Harris back as Jamie Lloyd. The producer explained how they are being careful to not cram too much fan service into the current trilogy. While Freimann wants to find a way to bring back Jamie Lloyd, he admitted that they couldn't find a place for her in the current story. The producer's full comment can be read below:

"I think it's a fine line we walk, and Danielle's great. She's been in what, four of the films? So it's like, she's been in [a lot of] Halloween films. It's up to David Gordon Green, his creative team, when they were going through the casting process and the story process. It wasn't wanting to just shoehorn in all of these Easter eggs and nods. That's certainly there, but we get hammered anyway we go; too many Easter eggs and too many nods that are fan service, or not enough. So either way we cut it, you're bound to not have someone pleased at you. I would love to find some way to bring back that character, the Jamie Lloyd character, in some way. It just didn't fit within the framework of the storyline."

Harris was only 11 years old when Halloween 4 came out in 1988 and has continued to act ever since. Halloween 5 was the last time she played Jamie Lloyd, but she did appear in both of Rob Zombie's Halloween movies in 2007 and 2009. In those movies, she played Annie Brackett, a role played by Nancy Kyes in the original 1978 Halloween. If Harris were to be cast in Halloween Ends, she would likely return as a different character rather than Jamie Lloyd. The character of Jamie Lloyd may have been one of the most interesting parts of Halloween 4 and Halloween 5, but as Freimann said in his comment above, there isn't a place for the character in the current trilogy.

2018's Halloween retconned all past sequels and made the story take place 40 years after the original movie. Green established in his film that Laurie Strode is not related to Michael Myers, meaning Laurie's daughter Karen (Judy Greer) is not Michael Myers' niece. At this point in the story, it just wouldn't make sense to introduce another Strode daughter, but Halloween Ends could easily include Harris as another character as fan service. That being said, Green just recently revealed that Halloween Ends won't have as much fan service as Halloween Kills, so fans might just have to wait until the next time Universal decides to reboot the franchise to see Harris on screen.
