A new Pacific map is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone to match Vanguard's World War 2 setting, but it won't be available until a while after Vanguard launches. New images show off the Warzone Pacific map, giving Call of Duty fans an idea of what to expect next.

Call of Duty: Warzone has evolved several times since its inception along with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2020. The map saw a few changes with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but it's set to receive even more changes in the near future with the World War 2-inspired Pacific map. Call of Duty fans that have been disappointed with the lack of changes to the Warzone Verdansk map may be blown away by the changes coming to Warzone in the near future.

Call of Duty news outlet Charlie Intel recently revealed two screenshots of the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific map. The most noticeable detail from the screenshots is the lack of large buildings which currently cover the Verdansk landscape. In place of the buildings, the Pacific map is covered in tropical foliage that will allow players to more easily hide from each other.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Pacific map is even more colorful than the Verdansk '84 map that fans have gotten used to throughout Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The trees provide various green tones, while the ground is brownish-red. The majority of the new Warzone buildings are small houses with grey roofs, but there are also larger warehouses that take up more space on the Pacific map.

Another clear difference between Call of Duty: Warzone's Verdansk and the upcoming Pacific map is the verticality. Although several buildings in Verdansk and Verdansk '84 helped Warzone fans gain height over their opponents, the Pacific map has a mountain and multiple hills to climb. In addition to the high points of the map, there are also caves to explore closer to sea level. One of the screenshots taken from a cave shows how many bushes there are for Call of Duty: Warzone fans to hide in as they scout their position.

Call of Duty: Warzone fans who are used to shooting players with their pistol from the air may be disappointed by the tree line of the Pacific map. A large portion of the Pacific map's land is visually obscured from above due to the massive palms extending from the palm trees. In addition to the tree cover, there are also clouds floating around.

The Pacific map may be ushered into Call of Duty: Warzone with an event after the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard. An official event hasn't been confirmed by Activision Blizzard or Sledgehammer Games yet, but it may be announced closer to the release of Warzone's Pacific map. It's currently unclear what date the Pacific map will be added to Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
