The Outfit: Watch the Trailer for the Upcoming Thriller Starring Academy Award winner Mark Rylance

The new trailer for National Champions highlights college football stars who strike for paid compensation. National Champions is written by Adam Mervis, who previously penned 21 Bridges, starring Chadwick Boseman. The film is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, best known for helming Gerard Butler's end of the world disaster movie Greenland. National Champions also features a stellar cast, including J.K. Simmons, Timothy Olyphant, Tim Blake Nelson, Lil Rel Howery, Alexander Ludwig, Stephan James, and Kristen Chenoweth.

The trailer, which was shared on YouTube by STXfilms, delves into National Champions' plot, which sees a star college football quarterback, LeMarcus James (James), calling for a player's strike just days before the college football national championship game. James' strike calls for players not to play until they are appropriately compensated as student-athletes. With the game fast approaching and the strike gaining momentum, the head coach (Simmons) and those controlling the money are under the gun and rising tensions. As the trailer heightens the drama, National Champions asks the questions that could change college athletics forever. Check out the trailer for National Champions below:
