Microsoft in its attempt to stop piracy regularly asks google to block many sites for piracy of Microsoft products. All this is done by automated tools. But recently Microsoft has increased such steps to stop piracy of its new version of windows “Windows 8”. It was increased to such levels that the automated tools accidently reported many sites like CNN, Wikipedia, Buzzfeed, BBC, The Huffington Post, TechCrunch, The Washington Post, Real Clear Politics, Rotten Tomatoes to google & asked to block them.

Generally most of the sites that Microsoft generally asks google to block are torrent sites like Piratebay. Due to the upcoming release of Windows on 26th of Oct 2012, Microsoft has increased its attempt to curb piracy.
