BtS：Notice about assessment and change of RSS functions

Dear BtS members,

As the title indicates, we have three announcements.

1. Assessment for User and Power User class (change criteria)

As previously noticed, we will perform an assessment (Download/Upload Evaluation) for 30 days starting from 11/01/2012.

The methodology for assessment has been discussed with many users through forum and came up with the following solutions.

We tried to consider a special circumstance for non-high-speed internet users and long term seeding users.

Requirement 1 (Mandatory): Download 20 Gigabytes

Requirement 2 (Select one from the three options below):

Option 1. Upload 15 Gigabytes

Option 2. Average seeding time (4 days)

Option 3. Have more than 25 torrents that you seeded more than 6 months. The seeded torrents must be download within the last three years.

It is difficult for non-high-speed internet users to meet upload requirement and we decided to provide a second option.

Only new downloads during the period will be considered for the average seeding time assessment.

Again, please note that existing files (downloaded before 11/01/2012) will not be considered for the average seeding time assessment.

The assessment applies to User and Power User members only.

VIP, Elite User, and above members are free to the assessment.

This indicates that you can avoid the assessment by the following methods:

1) Promote to Elite User or above.

2) Promote to VIP through $20 donation.

In addition, User and Power User members which requested parking status before 10/28/2012 and inactive during the assessment also free to the assessment.

Please be advised that the purpose of this assessment is to ‘clean-up’ the User and Power User members, who rarely use our site.

Please give advice to any users who are not using our site frequently before they get clean-up’ed.

2. Use of RSS (Direct Download) function for Power User.

From now on, Power User can use RSS and can enable Direct Download fuction.

If you use Direct Download function through RSS, 500 bonus points will be deducted, as same as other class members.

3. Use of RSS Bookmark function.

From today, Elite User and above members can get a message through RSS regarding your bookmark.

However, RSS Bookmark function is available to files that uploaded within the last two weeks.
