Kenny Rogers will reunite with the original members of the First Edition on Saturday, January 17 at the Country Music Hall of Fame for a Q&A session.

The Hall of Fame currently has the exhibition Kenny Rogers: Through the Years, which runs through June 14, which highlights his career from the days of the First Edition through his solo success, his acting career and his photographic work.

Rogers will be appearing with Mike Settle, Terry Williams, Mary Miller and Gene Lorenzo starting at 2 PM Central.

The First Edition was formed by former members of the New Christy Minstrels by Rogers, Mickey Jones, Williams, Settle and Thelma Comacho. After one minor hit with Reprise Records, they broke out with the psychedelic sounding Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) (1967 / #5) and followed with such recordings as But You Know I Love You (1968 / #19), Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town (1969 / #6 Pop / #39 Country), Ruben James (1969 / #26 Pop / #46 Country), Something's Burning (1970 / #11 Pop), Tell It All Brother (1970 / #17 Pop / #8 Adult Contemporary) and Someone Who Cares (1971 / #51 Pop / #4 Adult Contemporary).

Comacho left the group in late 1968 to be replaced by Mary Arnold (now Miller). Gene Lorenzo joined in 1972.

Tickets for the talk are free to members of the Hall of Fame and with daily tickets; however, they are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who can't attend will be able to watch on countrymusichalloffame.org.
