Windows 10 PC and Mobile Get Twitter App Update

The official Twitter app for Windows 10 launched recently on PCs and smartphones with a completely overhauled look and feature lineup, thus becoming one of the pioneers of Microsoft’s universal app concept.

And today, the company has rolled out a new update for the official client, aiming to continue improving it even more on both PCs and smartphones running Windows 10.

A change log is not available for this release, but the first change you should notice after downloading the new update is the changed splash screen. Twitter launched on Windows 10 with a dark splash screen, but it’s now blue to bring the app in line with its siblings on other platforms.

Furthermore, it appears that the Twitter app is now much faster than before, especially when loading, so it goes without saying that this update should be installed by everyone on Windows 10.

Other performance improvements and bug fixes are expected to be part of this release, but without a change log, it’s hard to tell if anything else has changed.

As usual, the update is delivered through the store on both PCs and mobile devices, so fire up the Windows Store and look for the new version right now if you’re an avid Twitter user. By default, the store automatically updates apps, so if you haven’t changed the default configuration, the new Twitter app should already be there.
