Zeus April 7, 2011 Share April 7, 2011 I think it would interesting to know what really scares folks about death. Is there a common factor? I know for me, I fear most is leaving my family or am I.
Guest drmkkkk April 9, 2011 Share April 9, 2011 Every time I think of death, in my future, I think of my past. What was it like before I was born? I was dead back then too. Was it scary? I don't think so :) So there you have it - death, nothing new to us humans.

Guest alcapwn April 11, 2011 Share April 11, 2011 I look forward to my own death, an end all be all to a stressful existence. My opinions may change as I approach it, however. And I will live my life fully, as life is awesome, it's just the peace at the end will be the ultimate reward.
Guest painter April 11, 2011 Share April 11, 2011 Some universities are researching detailed facts by young children of which they should have no way of knowing except as they claim by reincarnation. Cessation at death would be nice but looks like numerous lifetimes of suffering in physical & energy forms across the universe, until final release into one's own real nature of mind which is also the same awareness manifesting as the illusory universe.
Zeus April 11, 2011 Author Share April 11, 2011 Painter you are on to something. Take the time and study NDE in children and adults, very facinating! The na sayers keep the subject below mainstream. Anyway cool to read deep thoughts. Please Rep if you like the subject, thanks :D
Guest painter April 12, 2011 Share April 12, 2011 MSP, I read NDE stuff years ago. As for the ideas they are not mine but are the "nature of mind" teachings found in the "old school" of Tibetan Buddhism. Guest KungYu June 10, 2011 Share June 10, 2011 Death in nothing, literally. It's the in between time of when you go to sleep and wake up when you don't dream. It's not darkness, it's nothingness. But it's ok, it's how it always was an will always be. Don't worry over something you can't control :) .
Guest jestersout June 14, 2011 Share June 14, 2011 I'm scared of the unknown, whatever it maybe. That's a inherent fear in all of us. It keeps us safe, we think. Have you ever been in your backyard doing something and some animal just appears in your view but you don't know what it is? You start to think what is that and untill you know your kind of back away from it or even start running back to the house at break-neck speed.

Guest oakridge235 August 10, 2011 Share August 10, 2011 Death is scary only because so much of it is unknown. What happens the second we fade from this world? That's what intrigues me and scares me the most.
