Mac vs Windows

Oh yeah, mac is much better for video editing, I jump from premier to final cut to after effects with pretty much no problem.

Though a lot of professional production houses use PC's because they use an avid system (which have for a long time integrated their programs functionality with specific computers, and it was easier for them to do that to a pc.)

Avid has made a slow shift to mac, but it hasn't been that successful. And no mac user is going to pay that much for avid when they can already get FCP/Adobe

Windows. Mac if you are a DJ or VideoJockey or a Painter (if you are a gamer forget Mac)

Apple. IT gives you the best of both worlds. If you still need some Windows programs, you can install Windows on your Mac and boot into both!. Apple, the only way to go. impo.

Windows for daily usage (games,pr0n,etc...)

Linux for my programming (just cause i have lesser distractions when i'm in linux :) )

Mac (cause hey i'm IT guy so i need to support all)

My preffered one is Windows cause it got shoved in our throats from all sides.

I personally don't like Mac. Not cause it's bad cause the OS is superb for the things you can do.

I just can't understand Mac logic. When i switched to Linux i had same issue but between Linux & Mac i find that Linux is smoother and has more windows logic then mac has. Also when it comes to debugging/logging windows & linux win.

as a student...i went with a mac because of the sexy engineering...

as a gamer...i despise apple...

i've spent almost 10k on 3 macbook pros in the past 4 years....and apple keeps getting me...

i still think i prefer windows....

retina display + SSD + thinner + lighter...i had to get it

FWIW I run parallels, but I haven't had much use for windows, yet.

It depends on what you're using it for.

I'll go for Mac every time for the programs: I use Final Cut, After Effects, Pro Tools, Color, etc constantly; so it' s a natural choice.

But if it's gaming you want it for then definitely go for Windows

Like any normal person, I'd prefer eating a mackintosh over a window. Although I prefer tangerines... :D

No, seriously though. I prefer Windows.

Whew. A post like this is asking for trouble. I have a mac but windows for gaming. A terrible lesson I learned with this purchase. However, Mac no doubt has the cleanest, simplest, and most user-friendly O.S. in general. Windows for the games though. Not even close.

I grew up around Windows, and to this day would still pick Windows over a Mac. As of right now I do have MacBook, but only cause I traded some pharmaceuticals for it and got it for cheap... But my heart will always stick with Windows...

I used to like mac more, but lately windows is more bang for your buck and doesn't crash as much as it used to.
